Amazing for the Price
Received a different bow for Christmas and fell in love with shooting. It was a #25 and I wanted a #40 to grow into while I build up my shooting muscles. Watched sooo many youtube reviews of bows, even bought a black hunter that I didn't like and returned (a lot of hand vibration... I probably got a dud, oh well). Came across a few reviews of the Sanlida Royal X8 and they were all very positive. Decided to give it a shot and was very happy with my purchase. Yes, I'm very new at archery, but if you're like me and just getting into the sport, this a great bow. Looks really nice, build quality is excellent, and comes with everything but a target and a nocking point to get you started. The bag is especially great, not like amazing quality, but having a travel bag is awesome. Arrows are a little heavy, but the fletchings are feathers and shoot good enough to get you started. A little off-gassing from the arm guard, but I already had one and put this one aside as a spare. But the bow, wow the bow is awesome. Looks and shoots great. The string definitely stretches a bit at first. I've shot about 400 arrows with it and it's now staying at the brace height I set. I recommend using the includes string silencers, but that's up to your personal preference. What are you waiting for? Get one for yourself!

Great bow!
wow, $150 this has to be the best deal in archery. 150 fps out of a 35# bow. Well crafted, you will have to reset the brace height. Arrows suck too heavy for most bows. Very pretty bow! The drawback it is Chinese but Sanlida is a great company have had a few experiences with them very quick and easy to get hold of. I have many bows and this is going to be in the top 3-4 of bows that cost way more..

Nice bow for the price
Received this bow (40# draw weight) in excellent condition, in undamaged packaging. Have shot about 20 arrows thus far. Accurate, no hand shock. Finish, riser, limb tips, and string grooves appear to be well made. Only adverse comments are the Flemish twist string is not usable and appears poorly made, and the arrows are a bit too long (32") for me but, would be good for an archer with that length of draw. I would strongly recommend this bow and accoutrements for a new archer, someone returning to archery after a few years hiatus, and an experienced archer. Perhaps Sanlida will consider including a B-55 bowstring in future products.

The bow is wonderful, the included accessories not so much.
I ordered the 40lb Sanlida Royal and have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with this bow!The build quality of the Sanlida Royal seems top notch with very nice fit/feel/function, the grip is very comfortable, it has a smooth draw with little to no stacking, shoots great, and is IMO very pleasant looking. Overall the bow itself gets 5/5 stars from me.That brings me to the included accessories...Although its very convenient that this kit came with everything to get you started, I wouldn't get my hopes up about the quality of the additional items. My two biggest complaints so far would be the Glove and the arrows.-The glove: The glove itself appears to be OK for someone just starting out however judging by the varying size of thefingers and the placement of the leather finger pads in correlation this glove appears to be made with a left handedindividual in mind (which I am not) and the fingers themselves of the glove were a bit too small to comfortably fit.-The arrows: The kit comes with 6 arrows to get you started which I would guess to be around 600 spine and roughly32" in length. After taking around 200 total shots (shot indoors into certified targets) with the six included arrowsthe feathers have already fallen off of two of them and seem loose on a few others.-String Silencers: The included string silencers seem to work quite well so far, and do really quiet the bow down.-Field Points: Perfectly serviceable 100gn Field Points.-Bow Stringer: I have not tried this item yet, instead opting for the step-through method as I've always done.-Arm Guard: I've never found much need for these and have not used this item yet.To summarize the 40lb Sanlida Royal X8 itself is a pleasure to shoot and seems to be a great bow so far that is well worth it's $150 price tag, but the included accessories leave a lot to be desired. As always YMMV :)

It’s subject to change. UPDATED
This is subject to change depending on manufactures decision. The bow was neatly packaged and looks and feels nice. The bowstring after 2 shots started to fray on the ends and the bow had scratches a chip and a dent upon arrival. When I contacted sanlida they said the string is supposed to do that and the scratches and chip were cosmetic. The bow creaks and makes noise at draw that I was informed was because of the chip and possible delamination. That could have came from shipping being in the heat who knows. But after I spent 150 on a new bow I don’t expect a bow to look like it’s been used.UPDATE: I contacted Sanlida and the bow has been replaced. The new one doesn’t creak or make any strange noises. The string is still about the same but they said it’s a Flemish twist but I just tied serving on it. The bow doesn’t have scratches or anything going on with the limbs. The bow is good now so it’s now time to hit the woods.

Hi quality and beautiful plus great customer service!
This is the third Sanlida bow I have purchased and the quality if first rate. I will say that this one did have quite a bit of positive tiller at 3/8" but it is still within factory specs and still shoots well. I did reach out to Sanlida customer service regarding the tiller and the bowstring not having a large enough loop on one end to slide down the limb. They responded quickly and even sent me not one but two new strings right away! The accessories that come with it are decent but I have replaced the arrows with a better quality. If you are looking to purchase a new bow I don't think you can go wrong with a Sanlida bow.
