Want to hook up an older subwoofer w/ speaker wire connectors, to a newer sony reciever that has rca plug to access subwoofer set up. will these work?

Yes it will work. But, these are really poor quality. Don't buy them.

When you buy from iecables it is 12 inches long. Otherwise you will receive a 5.5 inch cable if you buy from the cheaper store.
