Alpine stood behind their warranty. I purchased the Alpine 4000 pump in September of 2023, and one day this Spring, it just stopped working. I liked the pump - it was quiet, easy to operate and keep clean, and had an incredibly long cord, The flow rate was more than adequate for my recirculating waterfall. Knowing that the pump was still under warranty- I reached out to Alpine for help. They were responsive and very graciously sent me a brand new replacement! I’m hoping to get many more months of use from the new one. It does its job well. Thank you Alpine!

I just got this a week or two ago, so I can’t speak to its longevity… But it sure is powerful! The other reviews that I read about this device made it sound like it was underpowered for its rated GPH… I do not find that to be true. I got it to replace a 3300 GPH pond pump that didn’t make it through the winter. This one is 5200 GPH, and although I have no means to precisely measure the water flow, it certainly seems to live up to its rating!

I have purchased my first pump approximately 5 years ago and it ran 24/7 including hurricanes with no issues until the pump finally stopped working. I purchase a second one which ran only for a couple of months and and I contacted customer service at Alpine and they immediately got back in touch with me via email. They were completely helpful and help solve my problem. They sent me a new pump after explaining to them the issue that I was having. I only had to pay shipping and handling. I also found after the original emails that were sent to me on how to maintain the pump to increase lifespan, I was actually able to get my original pump back up and running. The customer service was outstanding and the product arrived in just a couple of days. I would definitely recommend this pump especially due to the type of fittings that it has on the intake and the output side bolt which are able to accept PVC fittings. This makes it so that I could use it for multiple different types of applications especially by putting different types of fittings on the end of the PVC pipe so that I can either create a wide Fountain effect or a 20 ft High geyser. Just add some color for lights to it and you got a resort in your backyard.

Pump works excellent

Bought this pump for our pond from alpine though Amazon. After installation found that the pre filter cage had fallen off ( submersible fpond pump) somewhere in the pond. Called alpine for a replacement cage. They did not have a replacement part for us so they are sending a new pump. Alpine will be our go to company for any further needs for any pumps that we need. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs the submersible pumps. Most excellent customer service that we have ever received anywhere. Judy D - thank you soooo much. Such a pleasure. Now going on 3 years of continuous use. It's still very quiet and maintains it's outflow at the same rate as when it was new.

excellent quality pump great value for the money. The flow is incredible. If you have a large Koi pond this is for you! The flow rate is exactly as promised, and it was very easy to install.I highly recommend this pump

I purchased this pump for my pond in July of 2023. it is now May 2025 and it no longer works. This is the second one I have purchased and again only lasts for about a year and 1/2 before it just stops working. The pump just freezes up and won't run. I will not purchase another one, I will be looking for one that will do the job for longer than 1 to two years, and I don't even run it in the winter, I take it out, clean it off and store it.
