Outstanding play food
I got this and then ordered several more Learning Resources play food sets. Each food items is well-made, thick plastic and is a good size. No tiny pretend pieces of food; these are realistic. The colors are vibrant and the food looks "real." Sturdy shopping basket to carry your food and a nice little plastic bushel for storing the fresh fruits. Very happy with this set for our little one.

Best play food out there!
This is our second set of play food from this brand and the quality is fantastic. Yes, the pieces are fairly small, but they’re perfect for little hands. My little loves playing grocery and these have also helped with counting, colors and learning where food comes from/ what is grown in the garden, from a farm or made in a factory.Just a heads up that the picture on the box is a bit misleading. There were no raspberries and the sandwich meat was like a skinny hamburger patty, not turkey. That said, the contents are listed on the back of the box and we received everything listed.Great all around set for healthy foods and a few treats. We also love the Healthy Dinner set.Just buy it! You’ll get your moneys worth with how long kids can play with this set.

Great quality!
These are such great quality! They are a good weight too - they won't be crushed if a child or adult sits on them and they aren't so heavy that they'll dent the floors or walls if thrown. They do have a slight rubbery texture to them, which collects dog hair easily, but quick run water of it and the hair falls off.The bushel basket and blue basket are very sturdy too. Just to note, all the pieces do not fit into the blue basket. You'll need to fill up both the bushel basket and blue basket to store the pieces (or find another storage solution). The blue basket full of food fits in the bottom portion of our Ikea play kitchen (without removing a shelf). The foods are larger than the super cheap Kid Kraft pretend foods set, but you can still fit 2-4 pieces of pretend food into the KidKraft metal pan set.The 32 pieces were more than plenty for my 18 month old, so I ended up filling up the bushel basket with food and giving it to Grandma daycare. She loves the quality too! My parents have pretend plastic food from when I was growing up that have lasted 25+ years of playing in the dirt & sunlight. These are even better quality than those! I can see these lasting for decades to come.Overall, worth the money! Such a great set of pretend food!

Toddler approved!
We got this fruit/veggie set for our 17 month old as one of her Christmas presents. It was a huge hit! She gravitated towards the plastic groceries more than the more pricey toys with all the bells and whistles. The pieces seem super study and like they’ll last a long time.

Perfect amount of food for playtime!
Ok, so I didn’t take the best pictures because I didn’t think I was going to do a review. I did a lot of research because I didn’t want to buy a bunch of toy food that never gets played with. This set is very high quality and nothing like the cheap lots you normally get that collapse when you squeeze them. When I was taking it all out I liked everything but the juice box. It just looked plain and not needed, well guess what my daughters favorite thing out of this set is??? Yep, the juice box. Haha. She is just shy of 2 years old and this toy has helped her with saying and recognizing different food items. My god son came over (he is 7) and loved this, he had a hard time sharing he liked it so much and would take our order and serve us up different things. It’s a really good set for the price and you won’t get all the extra unnecessary stuff that will just break and take up space.

Really nice quality!! Better than the cheap plastic play food I've seen before...
I bought this set to go with the Hape table top wooden kitchen set for my grandkids to play with. I've bought other play food in the past, and they always seemed very cheap plastic, but this is definitely the nicest set I've ever seen. It has more of a "rubberized" feel to it. And whereas the cheap plastic sets would be dented in, when a little one chews on it, these pieces would just bounce back to shape, like rubber. They are squishy. Also there's a good variety of play pieces. My grandkids love playing with these. This is a case, where you definitely get what you pay for, in terms of quality! I would definitely highly recommend this set of play food! It would be nice if they sold a set of dessert items like this too! I'd buy it!

Great but a few misses
I ordered this set for my 18 month old and while it is recommended for ages 2+ there are no real choking hazards here. The individual items are large enough not to fit completely in her mouth. She is past the chewing on everything stage anyway but does pretend "eat". This is a very cute set with a good variety of items in a nice durable plastic. I like that these items are slightly flexible and won't crack if stepped on, plus the slightly tacky feel is better for small hands to grab. I was a little disappointed with the color of the pretzels - much darker than the marketing photo, more like cat poo sadly. Almost as dark as the ice cream sandwich. Also there is a good variety of fruits and veggies but no banana? I mean I guess most other sets would include one so maybe they left one out thinking you may have a bunch, but they include a yogurt cup in almost all non-dinner sets? Wish there was a banana.
