Great product!
Wish I had found these 2 years ago when we adopted our rescue dog. He’s scratched up our wooden blinds on the side windows of our front door. Finally looked for this type of product after he broke a slat. These work so good. He still tries to scratch at them but there’s no harm done now. Also had a minor issue with my order and emailed the company and they took care of it. Fantastic customer service.

Excellent protection for your doors
I just replaced two walnut doors at a huge expense and couldn’t run the risk of my dogs scratching them as they did the original doors. Protecto saved the day - tough enough plastic to protect the wood but I could still custom cut the sheet to fit around the door handle with heavy duty scissors. Easy to apply, and from a couple of feet distance you can’t even see the sheet

Pricey, but works as intended
For a clear plastic sheet, frankly, this is overpriced. But unfortunately there are not a lot of alternatives.I had just repainted my door and put up a window film, and my older dog has a habit of pawing at the door. Not clawing or going nuts, just pawing, but it was enough that I had to touch up the brand new paint. This shield protects the door and window and doesn't interfere with the light or drastically affect the appearance of the door. It's very shiny (a matte/less reflective option would be awesome), but there's really no invisible option, so this is probably the next best thing. Personally, I think putting one bigger piece on the door looks better than having individual small pieces, as other buyers have done in their photos. My dog has been pawing at it for a couple weeks now, and left no damage or marks.Lastly, I don't know who needs this to be said, but if your dog has severe separation anxiety and non-stop claws at the door for minutes/hours at a time, this dinky plastic sheet isn't gonna do squat. That's not it's purpose. If you have a dog with anxiety/clawing issues, spend your money on doggie anxiety meds at the vet, or buy a crate for your dog when you're away. If you still need door protection, buy something made of metal and screw it into your door, you'd be silly to assume plastic will hold up where a wooden door will not.

The Heat Wins/Scratch Protecter Is Thick
The sticky part melts off in Arizona heat. Ive literally tried everything sticky including HOT GLUE and it has not stuck to the intended surface. It barely stayed stuck to my screen door for an hour. My dogs have watched me put this Scratch Protector up multiple times to the point where they now know how to take it off.. if the Arizona Sun does not beat them to it they will take it down themselves. I like the thickness of the screen but it will not work in Arizona heat SAVE YOUR MONEY ARIZONAIANS. THE HEAT WINS EVERY TIME.Nonetheless the scratch protector is thick and it could work if you didn't have to fight the Sun with extreme heat and adaptable dogs.

This product damaged my door more than my dog :-/
The plastic covering is heavy duty and stands up to the scratching the dog does, but my dog was able to get the plastic covering off the door and the super sticky adhesive that holds the covering on the door took the paint off the door as well. :-/. So now I have to figure out another way to attach the covering to the door without doing further damage, which will not be easy given the covering is heavy duty and a bit thicker than other protectors. Not a good system. If you use this product, find an adhesive that will be strong enough to hold up to your dog’s scratching but not damage your door.

Door protector
I would buy this brand to protect the doors inside of the house. It didn't hold up well for the outside of the door, which the elements are in contact with. It started to peel off two days in after we received heavy rain.

Works well
So we are using these a little off label. We have a cat that burrows holes through out sliding screen doors. I put this up, with the provided tape on two sides and a couple of magnets on the top to keep it from being wobbly, and so far it is keeping her contained.

A must have with dogs
I have a lot of dogs who love scratching up my back door. Tired of painting. This is a good quality screen while also being very practical. Easy to use. No complaints. Saved my door form more dog paws wear and tear.
