Excellent Backpack
I have more than one of these. I like this new model more than the previous mainly because this includes a second water bottle pocket. I've used these bags for many things. Most recently, it has become my backpack for biking on the trails. It's light, water resistant and comfortable. I've maybe carried up to 20 pounds in it and it still looks new. This is a great bag and has been very durable. The shoulder straps balance the load well. There isn't any structure to its "frame," but that doesn't deter from its comfort - you can always put something in it, included a foam pad, but I never had needed to). It looks like the day I got it...and it's going through some rain, heat, sweat and being tossed around. The seams are taped and provide some water resistance (the Osprey Dry Sack is someone more water resistant as it has a folding top, similar to a true dry bag).It packs down relatively small, but unless you're carrying something else (jacket, purse, large cargo pockets, luggage), I wouldn't say this is "packable on your person".I highly recommend if you like lightweight stuff. It also comes with a lifetime warranty if something does happen to it...which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Great for hiking!
So many compartments! Great bag for hiking. You can really fit so much in there. We got sunscreen and sweat on this bag, so it definitely needed to be washed. Because of the material, it washed and dried perfectly. Would definitely recommend this backpack. Just want to add, th is bag does not stand up by itself. It has no structure, but because of that it makes it so easy to roll up and pack - taking up very little room if you’re traveling.

BEST BACKPACK EVER
The most durable, lightweight, comfortable backpack on the market. I am on my second one because my first one got a couple holes in the bottom of it after 4 years of daily use and taking it all around the world. The holes are so small that I could keep using it, but I didn’t want to risk the holes getting worse (and I wanted the blue backpack to replace my original orange one). The front buckle makes this so comfortable, and it holds a surprising amount of stuff. The side water bottle pockets are deeper than most, and the tiny handle on the top of the backpack that looks like it will snap under any weight holds everything without even straining. I love this backpack and all my friends have them now cause I don’t shut up about them.

Perfect! a must for travel
Amazing! perfect for traveling. Went to London and used it as my daypack. It was perfect, easy to fold, easy to carry when folded and very comfortable on your back when full. It looks like a rain jacket when folded, so I was able to get in the stadium with it and put my jacket and merchandise I bought there. I’m planning to do more traveling and it’s a must to take from now on.

Packable and Comfortable
Hi. I have a backpack addiction. I know I need help but there aren't any support groups that i can attend. I was very interested in this Osprey because of its ability to be packable. I tossed into my larger backpack for a tradeshow in Las Vegas recently. DISCLAIMER: I usually use a sling bag but it doesn not fold down and takes up a ungodly amount of space. On the morning of the tradeshow, I unpacked the Osprey and put it on. Felt good. It's well constructed. the bottle pocket on the side is a great addition. I love the loops for the zippers as well as the hidden pouch at the top for essentials. What I don't like is how everything just gets stuffed into the pack and after awhile, you have a buldge on your back. There are no compartments inside the backpack to hold anything, it all gets lumped in there. I will take it to Europe in 10 days and provide an update but right now, I leaning towards the sling for my EDC on my trip with the Osprey being my backup pack. We'll see

Extremely convenient and durable!
Osprey has always been my bag of choice. This is my third from them and was invaluable on a recent vacation. Super small and light when I don't need it, impressively large and strong when I do. Would buy again!

great pack
I bought this to travel on a budget airline where I could only take a small backpack to a wedding! It was smaller than the size required, and it's very useful that it folds up. I have a similar one from Eddie Bauer, and those come in multiple sizes. EB don't fold as easily/compactly and they are cheaper--also they have a more structured back. I chose this because Amazon had quicker shipping and I needed it for the wedding, but it is really excellent quality and I love it. I am more likely to take this one as a second bag because of compactness. It fits a lot for it's size, but most people would not find it large enough for a wedding weekend!

Comfortable for my adventures.
I bought this bag for a trip to Hawaii and I love it. My best hiking buddy is my Osprey Talon but it felt a little overkill for the shorter hikes I'd be taking to Hawaii and after looking around, I find this item. I love, love, love it. It packed down small yet was very comfortable to wear. Just like my Talon, I felt sort of bad at the end of my adventures when I'd have to take this backpack off. There is no structure to it and compared to the Talon, that took some getting used to. I couldn't set it down and dig through the backpack easily. But still for a short hike and limited space, this backpack worked great.
