Good quality soap. Has a carbolic odour and something else. Will buy again.

As a lover of traditional carbolic soap which is no longer available in its original formulation, this is the nearest brand I have found. The antiseptic smell is strong yet the soap is gentle, not drying to the skin and leaves a pleasant scent on the body following use.I have tried other brands but this is the nearest I can find to the original. I would highly recommend.

Ingedients: Sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, water, glycerine, PCMX, parfum, sodium DTPA, colour C1 16035Some on here have said it contains cresilic and carbolic (phenol) acid, it does not as EU banned these long ago.Instead it contains PCMX (Chloroxylenol) which is an antiseptic and disinfectant which is used for skin disinfection.No need to be put off though.It smells pretty much like Lifebouy, lathers well and leaves you feeling clean an refreshed.

Bought for my elderly father as could not find this soap in the stores. Does what it says. Not my kind of soap it a generational thing. They used it in the old days. He likes it and is pleased.

I got some of this soap I liked the big long bars we had at school and where I once worked. Mums used to wash men's shirts colors and cuffs with it .But I found that it really help my friends daughters face with a flanel and a good face was it cleared up her spots and breakouts. Yes it needed rinsing and a softer beauty soap with moisturizer to finish but her face is clear and she is very happy not spending money on creams that promis fantastic results but just clog up her pores.

Just live carbolic I have dermatitis and it’s stops any infection and fights any bacteria. I wash my face in it twice daily. Use in shower and have even washed my hair in it. Back to basics and it works. Always had to use it when we were kids. Never got nits either. Love it. Lovely clean smell. Not a very romantic smell though! It works. Very soothing. Great value arrived quickly. You can wash anything with it to. If you have stubborn grease stain or anything.

Over priced. And not carbolic soap, don’t waste your money on this. Caltra Carbolic Soap is the nearest to old fashioned carbolic. Clears acne, great for stains on clothes. Also clears fungal nail infection.

I am so glad I have ordered this amazing soap. I have decided to not use too many products and chemicals upon the skin. This is a soap my parents and grand parents used in the Caribbean. My Mum always praised carbolic soap, which was the main soap my family used. It kept everyones skin looking and feeling good. It hasn't lost its touch. The scent is still amazing, after use it leaves skin soft and smooth. Highly recommend to anyone.
