This thing works great. I have seen reviews on how it sags.....well if you can't figure out how to keep it from sagging you probably don't need one. It is designed to be able to pull it tight and then wrap it so that it doesn't sag. I'm getting another one. Super handy as a curtain rod outdoors on my deck for privacy as well as clothes. Lol

This is really well-made. The retraction is strong, just make sure that you remove your clothespins before you retract it. I tied it around the posts of my patio cover, instead of using screws, and it works just fine. I didn’t realize that the little knob at the bottom is where you wind the cord to give it tension. I want to be able to wash my sheets and hang them out to dry, so I bought a second line and spaced it 3 feet from the first, hanging the sheet between the two. Works great. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago, instead of wasting money buying plastic cord that shreds after a year. The cord is some kind of vinyl, but when hung on hooks for support, and wound at the bottom for tension, it’s a great clothesline. I have no doubt that it will last many years.

I think the description is a bit overrated "Heavy Duty". It works for a few Items, but you will have to adjust after hanging things on it. We use it out by the pool to hang dry towels, etc. Mounted the main unit behind a bush so it's not in direct sunlight, to help prolong the life.I did place a 2x4 near the center of the throw to help with the sag. Only used a week so far, but seems, for the price, it will work for a while.If you are looking for a sturdier unit, you may need to spend a little more $'s for that. One more note: I recommend getting a hold of some good old fashioned clothes pins, the wooden type. The plastic ones that come with are really light duty.

Works Great for hanging clothes out.

In the description online, it states that there is a button to lock the line. There is no button on the direction pages and pictures. I'll test it without having the button and see what happens.
