Very useful tool if you know what you're listening for. It's a little time consuming to get it set up in such a way that the wires won't drag or get caught up in a tire etc so I'd love to get a wireless version but can't justify the cost yet. The only issue I have is that the volume control is inline with the headphones wire. Makes it very clunky to use as in theory you're using this tool with one hand on the wheel and the other switching thru the dials. Having to take one of those hands off frequently to adjust volume is more annoying than it sounds. Tool would be much more seamless and user friendly if the 4th dial for volume was part of the handheld unit.

This is MY second set I bought. Going to get another set. For the price, durability, easy to use, helps for different adjustments of noise finding.I've bought others, but these have lasted me.

Ear pieces were too tight until the retainer spring was bent slightly to adjust them. Now they work well.

I wanted to like this product. But, the soft rubber the horn is made from absorbs and muffles sound - instead of sending it to your ears. Add to this, the VERY soft, almost gummy, rubber tubing also dampens sound - exactly what you don't want! Together, it makes it needlessly more difficult to hear through the stethoscope. The "sound source amplification ball" does nothing and further silences sounds. The stethoscope worked better without it! Save your money. This product is not recommended.After all the frustration and disappointment, I returned it. Amazon's excellent return policy made it easy and painless to do so.

I was trying to locate a tapping noise in my truck’s engine. It was too hard to pinpoint it and with this it works great and I was able to pinpoint the location of the tapping in my engine. I always used a piece of wood to do that up to my ear, which always worked, but this is much better to find out exactly where the noise is. What valve could be tapping so I like it.
