Fine fit and finish-more akin to a display knife.
I was drawn to this baby when I was eying it's larger brother in Damascus. Wanting a bit smaller format, I bought this beauty for it's slightly smaller size and blade shape, among other more objective reasons. Now I can't bring myself to put it to work. Sadly it's gonna spend most of it's life in a display, or at least, a dark, but safe drawer, far removed from the daily grime of a real EDC. Lol.I am blown away by the absolutely positive blade deployment with the flipper. The action is so smooth I keep checking that it is really a liner lock. Being a liner-lock, I expected some resistance. And there is, but just enough to keep your thumb safe while closing, as mine will NOT swing shut by gravity alone. I figure that even though it feels heavy for it's size, it's the solid components and materials and that's 'perfectly' alright with me.As a coated D2 tool steel, I expect it to retain a very sharp edge for longer than most stainless blades at this price range. Being rust resistant instead of fully stainless, the tough coating should protect it for years.I'd say I got my money's worth and then some.

Awesome quality!
The quality is awesome for the price. The blade sets solid center. The bearings help the blade swing out with zero resistance. The lock is rock solid. A minor drawback for me is no safety for a pocket blade. I knew that when purchasing thought, so not a problem. The damascus is pretty cool. Overall, I may get another for the hell of it.

First impressions
I need to see how this holds up long term. From first impressions, this is a pretty decent knife. The blade swing is one of the smoothest I've seen from a non-premium brand (Boker, Kershaw, SOG, Gerber, CRKT). Out of the box, the blade had a respectable edge. After a few passes on a strop with some bargain-basement stropping compounds, it was sharp enough to shave peach fuzz; this seems consistent with other 14C28N blades I have. The push-button release allowed the blade to close solely under gravity. It feels solid in the hand, if not a bit heavy for its size. The blade geometry is almost exactly what I want, the transitions between the blade and the point aren't as sharp as I'd want, but at this point I'm nitpicking. The one place I will ding this knife is the size of the flipper stud. It's small to the point where you can't really take advantage of the bearings to get a lightning-fast open. If it were maybe 2-3mm longer, it would give the blade the snap it really deserves. Also, the retention the blade has in the closed position is tenuous, at best. This creates a risk of it opening accidentally in the pocket.

Super impressive
Let me start out by saying that I normally don't leave reviews as I think a lot of them are useless but in this case I figured it was well worth leaving. This knife was super impressive. I knew right away as soon as I open the box that it was going to be something of quality just due to the weight. One of the things I noticed right out of the gate was that the center of the blade was exactly sitting in the middle of the handle which is something you don't see often. This tells me that there is some quality put into this thing. For a non spring assisted knife this thing is amazing it opens like a spring assisted knife. I will now be using this as my everyday carry knife. Nice job guys well built glad I bought it worth every dollar. There's one thing I don't get though what is with the skull and the Rope at the bottom of the knife. I guess I'll be cutting mine off as I don't like skulls and don't worship death. I think maybe finding something else to replace the skull would be a good idea

A super knife the finish is superlative
Knife is very sharp, and the fit and finish is first class. The flipper seems to work good after a little practice. It locks up strong and no blade play or wiggle. It should work out nice for camping and hiking. Great value for the price.
