Bucilla 10 x 13-inch Princess Birth Record 14 Count Counted Cross Stitch Kit

I am not an experienced cross stitch and i found this kit to be very easy to follow and complete.It is beautiful once complete and my daughter will have something to treasure that was made with love, although i did have a few choice words when i was faced with knots in my thread!! that is in no way aimed at this product just my inexperience.I would love to do something else now and i would buy this make of kit again.The only comments i would have is it took me awhile to sort the colours as i had no way of matching them up, but once i got them sorted it was easy to complete. Again this was my first kit so not sure if this is the norm. also I did run out of one of the colours (light tan) but not sure if that's just the way i have used it or not .

This is a gorgeous cross stitch kit. I made it for my Grandaughter’s first birthday. I adapted it slightly to make it fit the frame better and I managed to frame it myself. I did the writing in black as the pink looked wishy washy in my opinion. I didn’t stress too much over the fractional stitches as the effect is meant to be a sort of water colour appearance. I’ve since done another Bothy Threads Kit and that was the same. Def my favourite cross stitch company at the moment. The kit didn’t look much until the backstitching was done so I would advise anyone, if they get despondent, to back stitch a small area to spur you on. I had threads left over so used them and part of the design to make another gift.

Lovely birth sampler. Easy to do, with easy to follow Instructions. I am an experienced cross stitcher, and so it was a little tooeasy for me, but it made a lovely gift for my great granddaughter. The only problem was ran out of cotton on one of the colours. But I have quite a big stock of DNC thread, so I did not have to buy the shortfall.

I enjoyed making it but not enoughthreads.very disappointed.

I really enjoyed doing this cross stitch. Have bought many over the years but this is the only one I have ever finished.It took a fair while to arrive in the post but was well worth the wait.I found it easy to follow and the colours are amazing.I've posted a picture of mine completed. All framed. It's now up on baby Harriet's wall looking very pretty :)

Thoroughly enjoyed stitching this for my new grand daughter. Was easy to follow for someone who has cross stitched before. The sparkly thread was very tricky to thread and sew with so gave up but still looks stunning. Just need to frame it.

Kit arrived. No way of working out what threads match the colours/numbers as none of them are coded. Aida states 14 count but the Aida is definitely 16 or 18 count. Not best pleased that I now have to buy a new piece of material and potentially new threads as I don’t know which colour is which as some of the colours are very similar in shade

This looks great when it’s done. I’ve just framed it myself and I’m so pleased with it. Clear instructions and despite other reviews I’ve read - there was enoughThread to do it all.
