There appears to be no side effects to these, and they seemingly to do their job. They're easy to swallow and have no unpleasant flavour or smell.Take them if you need vitamin D3.

Well we all know vitD3 is good for us as we dont get enough sun exposure in the uk. As an office worker I hardly see the sun even in summer, so these supplements are a must for me.I find that this particular brand seems to work faster in reducing my fatigue. Are the fat soluble vitamins and it’s a bit like those rare earth minerals that countries are accused of hoarding and are maybe needed in the latest generation of smart phone – our bodies need them in small amounts but they are absolutely essential. Please remember that in high doses they can be toxic, very toxic and there was that poor chap some years ago who did himself a mischief with Vitamin A poisoning when he habitually drank 10 pints of carrot juice a day.Enter these super little tabs from Nature’s Bounty which provide 1000iu of Vitamin D daily. Vitamin D is made by our skin when it’s exposed to sunshine and the problem of low levels arises when we either don’t get a lot of sun, live in northern climes, have darker skin which is more sun resistant and so on. Always remember too that excessive sun exposure is by no means wise especially for very fair-skinned, pale-eyed folk and of course we encourage use of SPF to protect skin against sun damage and melanoma. All in all it’s a bit of a balance. Vitamin D is needed for bone health but lots of symptoms are attributed to having low levels and I went though a phase of many of my patients coming in asking me about it and could they be tested. In truth, many showed low levels and some extremely low levels. Please note that these tablets are not suitable for those with very low levels, we’d use much higher strengths to restore levels quickly but against that the low dose in these tablets is ideal for those who perhaps don’t get a lot of sun exposure, have sun-resistant skin like me and fancy a top up just in case. Anyone who feels they have very low levels should maybe get a blood test to settle it one way or the other.The tablets are very small, a teeny bit bitter but easy to swallow. There are 100 in the bottle and for those who consider themselves at risk of having low levels and as a nice compromise they’d last the whole winter at one a day. What’s not to like. Many thanks.

Having been diagnosed with low Vitamin D level, I started taking these. Haven't yet had a follow-up blood test, so cannot definitely say that they have raised the level of this in my blood. They are easy to swallow and you only need one small tablet each day, or in summer just one every couple of days to boost your Vitamin D intake. Large quantity, so these last for ages, excellent value.

In our unreliable climate lots of us need a bit of topping up of Vitamin D and particularly so if you aren't the sunbathing type or have to avoid the sun for medical reasons. These are very small tablets, so easy to swallow, with no particular taste. Recommended to take them with a meal. I think these will prove to be as good as any other Vitamin D3 supplement so they will do fine.
