You need it👍🏼
The media could not be loaded. I only regret one thing — not buying this cooktop sooner! It’s very easy to use, heats up quickly, and is super convenient. The only downside is that there’s no lock for the on/off button. When I wipe the panel, the cooktop turns on and the fans start running every time.It doesn’t affect the performance, it’s just a bit inconvenient when cleaning.I read in some reviews that the fans are supposedly loud… But for me, the noise level is absolutely normal. Our home is never completely quiet anyway — there’s usually a TV on, music playing, or the windows are open etc

My favorite cooktop on the market
I love everything about this cooktop. especially a timer for it to turn itself off! heating is very fast, and I used. to cook only with gas. Unlike gas, there are zero harmful emissions.

Very impressive speed and control
I use the cooktop in my camper and it replaces a 2 burner propane stove. I'm amazed at how fast it heats up and it's so much easier than propane to set just the right temperature for what I'm cooking. I definitely want a full size induction cooktop in my home kitchen ASAP. It's easy to clean and the touch controls are responsive, but if you're a messy cook like I am you'll have to wipe them off while you're cooking or the buttons won't work -- no biggie.

Cooks great, Fan is noisy.
It cooks amazingly. I bought it for an RV I am building, but it's sitting in the house until I am ready for it, so I plugged in sitting on top of my old school electric stove. The temperature control is great. It heats things up very fast. It gets hot enough to brown things. The power sharing feature is super cool. You can do a lot with 1800 watts with this thing. I love it, however...1. The fans are super annoyingly loud, and run when they don't need to. How hard would it have been to make the fan thermostat controlled and variable.2. When I take the skillet off the stove to flip things (I cooked professionally, so I pick up the pan a lot to flip or mix things) it beeps at me. I get it, I know I picked it up. You don't need to tell me. A simple 10 second delay here would have been perfect.3. The mode button is silly, as is the lock button. Change the lock button to be power control, and the mode button to be temperature control then you don't need to keep pressing buttons to do things. Make lock happen by pressing 2 things at the same time like most appliances. That has more safety any.Fix those things, and I'd buy another one for the house. It's almost perfect!

only half of mine worked
Update:Customer service responded. Suggestion was to unplug, wait, plug in and try again. If that did not work, their response was to return it to Amazon. Since I had already done that, I returned it.*********************Original review:Nice concept, if it worked. There are two burners, with one having 1800 W of power as long as you do not use the other one. If you are using both on max, you have 1000 W on one burner and only 800 W on the other. That would still work, if only both burners worked. The main unit works as it should on all functions. The second one does not work for more than 30 seconds. At the end of that time, it fails with an E1 warning. That warning means overtemperature. The fix that is suggested is to clear obstruction from fan. Great, but there is no obstruction and the fan is working as it should, just like the other burner.Tried to call company and only got busy signal or was disconnected. Tried their e-mail support and no response.. While the company is listed out of California, the product is made in China. Not that that makes it a bad product, just that it is not made in the USA as the company might make you think.Do not have time to mess with it, so returned it.

Daily use every meal over 6 months
This has been running great and been used of every meal for over 6 months. Never had a problem with the power usage.Only minor issues are wish to disable or extend the audible alarm for picking up a pan for example to flip eggs. There should be a lock of some kind so to make cleaning without pushing buttons easier to do.
