No,they go directly on the wound bed. Should be there 3 to 5 days. They bring down the bacteria load So permit the wound to heal by fighting the bad bacteria. Wraps should be cut slightly smaller than the wound bed but can touch the healed wound edges.I have had very good results with this product.
