Can you cut with scissors or a paper cutter?

Cutting 7.5mil acetate sheets with scissors and a paper cutter is no problem at all. I have tested that acetate sheets of 10mil, 7.5mil, and 6mil thickness can be cut with scissors and a paper cutter.

I'm confused. Is this product clear or opaque?

This stencil material is opaque. The material is recyclable PET.

Is this material safe to laser cut?

I used it to make a mask for a photo scanner

I was setting up an Epson V850 scanner to make digital contacts of photographic negatives. The scanner glass is 9” x 12”. I figured out where the live area of the scanner was and, with the aid of a template I created, hand-cut masks for 120 and 35mm film, then hinged an 8-1/2 x 11 glass cover plate with gaffer’s tape. This material worked beautifully for this application.

Does produce a smell but it is so small that I wasnt bothered really, cut way faster than white polystyrene so was definitely a plus for me!

Sheets are not transparent
