I used these tonight to make beef koobideh and they were great. A little thinner than I expected but they were sturdy and got the job done. Very sharp so beware around small children. The length is great as far as the amount of food you can get on each one. Make sure you use gloves or tongs to turn. Especially on high temperature spots. I found out after taking them off after a minute, they were still hot. Easy cleanup though which I love. The black bag they sent with them was nice also.

Perfect......super wide, nice point, handles are top notch.....easy to hook a little something extra under the spring. Nothing is gonna fall off the handle end, really thick stainless, easy to wipe down. Holds a TON !!! Note: I bend the pointed end a bit to prevent food from sliding off. These are the best. This is a life saver. It keeps the kabobs from touching and sticking to the grill. Heavy duty construction. Easy to use just place brackets on grill and the place the skewers in the grooves. It is completely metal so you need a oven mitt to turn the skewers because the metal is hot. I just wish it had handles that didn't heat up. But still worth it.

We have had these and used them for a long time. They are flat so they are easy to flip without the food spinning. They go in the dishwasher and haven't rusted one bit. The storage bag was a plus and much appreciated.

I purchased these skewers after using them at a friend's house about 2 months ago. Here is what I really like about this set of skewers:-They are long - 17 inches - great size-The top has a larger opening, making it very easy to grab/hold, even if someone has a larger hand-The bottom is angled with a bit of a sharper tip, making it very easy to push thru meat & veggies-Cleanup is very easy - quick wash by hand, but they are also dishwasher safe-They come with a storage bag to keep all of them in 1 spot, and also helps protect the skewer tipI use them. I recommend these skewers for yourself, and for gift giving too (House warming, Birthday, Christmas, etc.)!

This set replaces one that I inherited that was of questionable metal content (tin? galvanized? ??) Its stainless as judged by the magnet test (doesn't attach). Not sure if its 304 or 316 but either should be fine as I don't intend to abuse it by soaking it in salt water, etc..I like the thin, flat blades - they should easily penetrate the toughest of meats and hold them, so they don't spin around when turning kebabs.The bag is a nice addition as they keep the set together and not clutter my utensil drawer.

Ordered these specifically for cooking kebobs, where I would prefer to get as much meat/veggie/whatever on the kebob as possible to maximize the amount of food I can make. Have used them 3 times since purchase:Pros:-Do not bend or deform when heated-The looped end isn't overly large or bulky, so it was easy to close the grill lid without moving skewers-Flat design makes it easier to flip all food over consistently without having to adjust individual pieces on the skewer-Flat design makes it REALLY easy to clean off vs. other skewers that opt for a twisting design.-As an eating utensil, they are easy to handle and look niceCons:-There's a twist about 10 inches down, which prevents food from sliding back and touching your hand when eating (or flipping, I suppose) which is great, but it does detract from the space you can effectively cook on.-The bag is okay, canvas is a bit thin for something that will consistently have pokey bits digging into it and I don't think it'll last long.Overall Rating: 3.5, tending towards 3. They do the job adequately, but if I hadn't planned on using them the day after they arrived, I would have likely sent back for skewers that could easily cook on the whole length. As for using them to plate kebobs, I would definitely use these, but would probably just go with bamboo skewers since they cool off way quicker off the grill.
