Great product!
The knee scooter as we affectionately call it came well packaged and with great directions! Directions had a step by step with color pictures and everything. It took me a few min to remove the protective coverings and another few minutes to get set up. My 6 yr old has been using it successfully, his foot is broken and he can’t put weight on it for at least 6 weeks-we are 2 weeks in and this scooter had made it so he can go to Sunday school, come with us to check mail, and just feel more independent without risking injury to his foot. Great product. Great company!

A GREAT KNEE SCOOTER
I had to stay off my left foot for 8 weeks due to a foot fracture. I bought this knee scooter. I had no experience with this kind of thing. I was worried it would be too big or clumsy for using around the house and/or too flimsy to use out in the world. I was wrong on both counts. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS KNEE SCOOTER! It is small enough to get around my kitchen, through a 24" bathroom door, down the hallway into the kids' bedrooms, etc. And it is sturdy enough to do, as far as I can tell, anything you could reasonably--and in some cases maybe unreasonably--want or need to do outside of the house. I took it to work, to the grocery store, to the vet, to my kids' baseball practice, etc. etc. It's been on sidewalks, pavement, cobblestones, gravel paths. I took it to an amusement park - no joke. It maneuvers well (I will actually miss it when I have to just walk through a grocery store instead of streaking through the aisles) and the brake is strong. The wheels are very sturdy. It's got a little metal basket below the handlebars that is incredibly useful. I have put a huge amount of miles on the thing in 8 weeks and it feels just as stable as it did when I first got it. The cushion for your knee is very good and has not lost its cushiony-ness; the covering on the cushion has not cracked or ripped. I have been very pleasantly surprised: this is an extremely high quality item.A couple of things to keep in mind: riding it *is* a workout. You have to use your core for steering; going down a steep hill requires a lot of focus and careful use of the brake; going up a steep hill is a lot of work. As nice as the knee cushion is, your shin will take a beating. I am 6'2, 185lbs and on very active days I ended up feeling really tired and sore in my shin and at the bend of the knee. You do get used to it, but there are times where you just notice that while your injured foot is resting, your leg is really going through a lot...THE SCOOTER DOES NOT FOLD. I'm not sure what a folding scooter would be like, though I expect it would be a bit more flimsy than this one. Anyway, I don't think you could take this through an airport or on a plane. It is a bit heavy/unwieldy, especially if you are trying to get it in and out of your car while hopping on one foot. Not everyone will be able to do that by themselves. Nor will everyone be able to scoot or hop down a flight of stairs while dragging or guiding the thing along with them. But I expect this will be the case with any knee scooter. I never felt like I wanted or needed it to fold up.Bottom line: this made 8 weeks non-weight-bearing *much* easier than I expected it would be. It is so much better than crutches, though of course there are some things you might still need crutches for. I will keep it in my attic in case (god forbid) anyone else in my family has a similar injury. If you are looking for a knee scooter, this is the one to get!
