Leviton 5269-C 15 Amp, 125 Volt, Connector, Straight Blade, Industrial Grade, Grounding, Black-White

I've been repairing extension cords & making my own for many, many years. The statement, 'You get what you pay for.' could not be truer with these Leviton replacement cord ends. They are the easiest to install, they'll work with several different sizes of cable, they're rugged & the outlets don't get weak and lose their ability to hold onto whatever you plug into them. I've made several extension cords & repaired even more for friends & family over the years. I've probably tried just about every different manufacturer of cord ends that is/was available in my area & by far these Leviton ends are the best. They aren't the least expensive, but I'd rather spend the extra money, do the repair once & never have to do it again. These will be what I use until someone shows me something better. The price was reasonable and comparable to any place near me that had them in stock.

I used this on the end of a 10/3 extension cord I built for my home theater. I wanted something secure, high quality, and UL listed. This fit the bill perfectly, and Leviton makes excellent components.

I purchased to replace a burned up receptacle, theload current softened the thermoplastic housing and allowed the load carrying contact to shift. Thisreplacement I love! The insertion holes easily took12 awg and even looked like they could take 10 awg. After wiring up and plugging it in it took a LOT of force to fully insert the plug and that gaveme confidence that contact is strong and positive.In my opinion this is a quality product and I feltcompelled to let my opinion be known.

I bough this to go on the end of a cord that had 14 gauge, stranded copper conductors (hot, neutral, and ground). The plug went on easily, worked great, feels high quality throughout the process of installation and use, and there were no surprises.
