Q: I have a friend with a 48" waist. The XL says up to 47" but XXL doesnt say what it goes to. Reviews suggest going a size up. Would XXL be acceptable?

I have a 36" waist and ordered a Large. I had to use the very last set of holes on the belt, and that was snug. Way too small!!! I went to a sporting goods store bought an XL and gave the other belt to my 32" waist son. I don't know what to tell you other than if it were me I would order the next size up.

Based on my waist size. You would be at the last 2nd or 3rd eyelet using a large belt.

Something I do that seems to help with any undersized belt is to put water on it, heat it(a blow dryer), then stretch it with your hands or with a come-a-long.

Q: What is the width of the tapered part?

I want to say it’s 2-3 inches.

Superb for every size

So I always struggle for any sort of belt as I have a 26" waist, so trying to find a weight-lifting belt has been difficult, however this one fits like a glove (or as well as any weight lifting belt). It's super sturdy and good quality leather. Felt amazing and It's great for squats and deadlifts without digging in!

Fits waists smaller than standard 24inch belts

Absolutely perfect. I've struggled to find a weightlifting belt. Every size S or XS I've ordered is too big. Finally one that fits a 23inch waist. Superb quality, thick belt and still have buckle holes left over. Could not be happier with it!
