What is the base metal please?

Mine are made of hard plastic. They are actually good and I have never seen that as a problem after using one red for 4 years. If the one you get is eventually made of metal, it would be cheap pressed aluminum so it wouldn’t last longer

Olympus pen f.. if i use one of the tiny rubber o rings in conjunction with the button.. i cannot screw it in place. without the rubber ring all ok..

The rubber O ring is an optional accessory in case that the thread size is not fit properly. If the shutter release button can fit your PEN F without the rubber O ring, that will be fine. Thanks.
