Pleasantly surprised and very impressed!
Great product so far, very impressed.Delivery was great, everything arrived on time and as expected. The package contains a pot of gel, brush and instruction booklet. On opening the pot of gel I was surprised at how thick the product is, although this isn’t a bad thing once you learn how to handle it. Up until now I’ve used CND Barisa and the consistency is very different. I found it was much easier to apply multiple (3+) very thin layers, than trying to ‘sculpt’ anything. Once on, there’s no creeping or bleeding into the cuticles which is great – it really gives you the time to work on your hand and get everything looking good before curing, therefore reducing time needed for filing etc. Being able to get such a close and fine layer of product near the cuticle without creating a mess everywhere is a bonus because it really helps to give a more natural finish. The brush that came with the gel is also really good. The one thing which did surprise me, was the first bead I tried to apply seemed to cure a little on the brush and became very lumpy, very quick. I was in a room where there was a bit of sunlight creeping in and I think this set the gel off which has never happened to me before. So definitely something to be very careful with – the instructions do mention staying away from windows and direct sources of light, so it’s up to the user to be aware. The product cured well, and so far I haven’t experienced any lifting – I’m only at day 2, however do find where products don’t suit me (professionally or personally applied), I get a lot of lifting very quick.I used a very mixed range of products (bonder, base coat, wipe-off solution) from various brands when applying the gel, and it seems to work well with everything.I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking to try a cheaper (but just as good…and dare I say maybe better?!) product than the more notable brands, but for a much more manageable price. Looking forward to investing in some of the gel polishes next! :) Thank you.***Update: I've now used this gel twice, and still pretty chuffed! First time was for infills, where I felt more comfortable using multiple thin layers. I've also now done a full set of sculpted extensions, and once again, the product was so amazing and easy to use! I've attached a photo, but not sure it does justice to how well the gel looks when applied. It's worth noting, the photo is of my right hand and the gel was applied using my non-dominant hand - probably the best finish I've been able to achieve because of how workable the product is. The extensions are fairly long for me, and although I've snagged nails a couple of time (I'm not careful with my hands!), 6 days in and there's not a hint of lifting or cracking anywhere and they feel as strong as ever. Super impressed!

Absolutely perfect! Even for use on natural nails with no extensions!
Just what I was looking for! I'm completely new to doing my own manicures, and the salon I used to go to used this to strengthen the nails which made the manicure last forever (my friend has hers on for 6-8 weeks before getting them redone). I was trying to find out what this is called and discovered that nearly all tutorials on YouTube don't use this in their manicures if they're not dong nail extensions (I wear it just over my natural nails, no extensions).I was pretty sure this is what I needed so just went ahead and ordered it. I wasn't disappointed! This worked an absolute treat! I stupidly didn't realise it came with a brush - it does, and it's the one in the photo. The pot is quite small (see photo next to a 5p coin for reference), but it goes a long way.As I don't use it for extensions, I do the colour, then the gel builder, then the top coat. I can see a few bubbles but it's not really noticeable, maybe I just need more practise. It was actually pretty easy to work with. I heard some gels are very runny and you don't have a lot of time to work with them before curing, as the gel slides to the edges of your nails. I can't say I had an issue with this, although just in case, I did turn my hands upside down for a moment before curing. Not sure if I needed to though. The colour of the gel in my photo makes it look a little purple - it's actually more of a blue colour but you definitely don't see any colour when using it on your nails. I cured mine for 90 seconds in my LED lamp but might not have needed that long.Polish colours in the photo are Bluesky S06N (pinky glitter) and Bluesky QXG312 Blindfold (light rosey pink)

Updated
Update.Received an email after my initial review was published offering me a replacement pot and explaining that when in use, it needs to be kept away from any light and the lid replaced immediately every time you insert the brush.I received the new pot and it's so far okay using this method but also slightly inconvenient that I have to replace the lid every time. That said, I do get good results with this gel so I'll persevere. Updated from 2 stars to 4.Great builder gel for first two uses. Then developed a thick film on top and became to thick to use. Had to discard. Waste of money.
