No they aren't, The 0.4 tip is a fine felt tip, the 0.8 is a gel tip, the 1.0 is a medium flair felt tip and the calligraphy 2.0 is a square cut felt tip pen.It isn't said if they are permanent or not so i tried on white paper and they all smeared.

No they are just like a felt tipped pen.
