would it work with a cajon?

Maybe not, the RT -30 needs to be connected to the rim of a snare, toms or kick drum which is about 30mm or so thick. You might be able to make some sort of spacer to make up 30mm thickness. Take Cajon to your nearest drummer centre that stocks the RT range and try it out.Best RegardsWayne
