The first time I used them I could feel instantly how best to press the water back behind me. An often overlooked advantage is their weird star trek emblem shape and the protrusion that it makes behind your wrist. When your arm passes under you, you have to rotate your hip out of the way to stop the bit protruding above your wrist colliding with your hip. Of course this is what is meant to happen. You do it wrong the first time and then after rotating your hip out of way as your hand moves under you becomes second nature.

These are great, I'm 5ft 2 and the junior size was perfect. They definitely help with my catch. They are quite hard work, but that helps when you revert to your full normal stroke. You'll feel like you're simply gliding through the water.I use them when I begin to flag, and it helps retrain my technique.

Bought these after several people who had been on Swimsmooth courses reported good feedback and I can concur that they are much better than using traditional style paddles. They don't give the same training effect as a traditional "dinner plate" style paddle which trains strength, but do give some effect in this area, but what they do is correct your hand entry and help lengthen out the stroke a little (great for a high cadence swimmer like myself). Quality as always with Finis is good and would recommend these to anyone thinking of using paddles for the first time (get the stroke right first before you do any other type of paddle work).

I didn't get to use the product as firstly can't feed the finger straps through the holes seems impossible and after trying one snapped. Not impressed.
