I was a bit sceptical when I bought this but they have been up for a week now and I haven't had a single pigeon in my garden so I am very impressed . Cheap , easy to assemble , pretty to look at and they work! They can be a bit distracting on a sunny day as the reflected light makes it feel like the garden has been invaded by a horde of mad fireflies but that's a small price to pay for no pigeons

These definitely kept a pesky pigeon from eating all of my Wisteria Flowers this year ! (2024) Nice and bright, and reflective, but I'm surprised how quickly the split rings went rusty, just in a couple of months, so they lose a star rating, I will probably have to purchase new split rings for next summer, which is disappointing, for the price, to be honest. 😞

These are so easy to put together and we are amazed at how well they work. They have kept the wood pigeons off our garden ever since they were put up. Great product!

Never deterred the awfull pigeons at all

Works reasonably but the attachments rust in a season and if you try and clean them with rust remover they become brittle and snap

I have recently had decking installed immediately outside the back of my house. All was well until I noticed piles of bird poop building up in several places underneath the canopy of the silver birch that the decking had been built around. I therefore decided to have a go at putting some bird repellents in place.When I received this order I was quite taken aback at the size of the owls - I obviously hadn't taken any notice of the dimensions and maybe because of the hook attached to them in the picture, I was instantly reminded of earrings and therefore expected them to be the same size! But...they are really big! My sons, my eldest granddaughter and I, had a laughter filled time hanging them in the tree that pigeons had decided to use as their home. I then cleaned away all the poop so that I could determine whether they worked or not. Upon entering my kitchen I realised that the mirror finish of the owls bounced light everywhere (not JUST in the direction of approaching birds!) including into the house! Be warned, in the summer they might need moving slightly higher if like me, you have hung them at eye level!They look absolutely fantastic! My neighbours have all commented on how wonderful they look and as tree decorations alone they are worth every penny.The following morning I suddenly spotted a pigeon sitting only 4 inches away from a set of owls!!!! Eventually he snuggled up to it and prepared to take a nap! Charged with fury at his cheek I went out into the garden "loaded up" the hose pipe till bursting and then let it rip at him! (bird lovers...this was WATER and no different to rain!!) He was startled and flew to another branch, so taking aim I fired again - this time he knew he was beat and flew off up the road! To be perfectly honest, I saw the hilarious side to it all and had a laugh assuming he and his mates would return but shrugged my shoulders, accepting that the owls hadn't worked BUT they looked BEAUTIFUL in the tree!I promptly contacted the seller and explained that for me and my birds, they just hadn't worked but as we had had such fun putting them up and the tree actually looked really beautiful with them, I would not leave ANY feedback rather then having to leave a negative review.BUT - SINCE THE PIGEON FLEW OFF I HAVE HAD NO BIRDS RE-VISIT THE TREE AND NO POOP ON THE DECKING WHATSOEVER!!!!!Therefore, 5 stars, not only for ridding me of the pigeons, but for providing a fantastic feature to my garden and memories of an afternoon well spent with my family!!

Does not distract pigeons that ruin my garden...

I bought this product to discourage wood pigeons from setting up home adjacent to my very small back garden. Assembly is very simple and the owls are very pretty. They blow about in the wind and their mirrored surface casts reflections around the garden, This does not really "scare" the birds but does deter them from hanging around. The verdict on this product? It looks very pretty and has done exactly what I need it to do. The pigeons have moved to the front garden for occasional visits to my bird feeders which is fine. I am happy to share some of my space with them but I do not want them building nests near my bedroom window and waking me up with their racket as soon as the sun comes up. I thoroughly recommend this product.
