Q: Would this raft work as a fly fishing guide boat? is it comparable to nrs?

Short answer is yes. I am truly amazed at the quality of the raft. There is a YouTube that compares the specs of the NRS and BRIS. Both compare almost exactly. I have an NRS fishing frame on mine and absolutely love it. I have had it loaded with 3 people down Santam and McKinsey and it took the 3 and 4 spots very well. The 51/2" bottom at 7 lbs is as hard as a board. Love the self bailing. Floor stays dry under any conditions. As far as I can tell the only difference other than price is that the NRS has a little larger bow on the bottom. After using both rafts I can't tell the difference except the price difference paid for the frame.

The holes are there valves! Let's water in , and in turn creates a flow thru effect by dragging the water out.

Q: What size oars would you recommend for a frame in this boat?

I have a 60” wide nrs frame with their oar towers and I am using 9ft oars. Oar length is very dependent on frame width. If you search “raft oar length” on YouTube the video from gear garage gives a fantastic break down on how to figure oar length.
