I had other scents from SOTH but they didn’t agree with me - evidently, my body’s PH and pheromones (and whatever else) disagree with some scents, for example anything with citrus , jasmine , or sandalwood smells absolutely foul on me. I used to love aloe vera stick from wild, but now they got sold to unilever I’m out. Needed a replacement. I also used akt for last few months , it’s great, but it is expensive and I find packaging diabolical . I have been using natural deodorants for a very long time ( I’m thinking at least since 2018-2019) and they’ve come a long way since. They are all pretty much the same now in principle, there’s no miracles there , they will not stop you sweat, that’s what antiperspirants are for , but it’s either trading for sweating a little and being healthier, or risking your health using dangerous ingredients in antiperspirants.I know what I prefer; this stick smell is fresh and lovely and I can already tell it will ‘agree’ with my skin really well. It’s also CF and plastic free and this is very important to me. I don’t bother with the plastic ‘ sleeve’For it as it works great in the paper tube . Very happy indeed.So a next day update: I used the stick after shower this morning, it’s 13:15 and I feel like the lovely fresh scent is completely gone and I maybe over the top checking my armpits for smells extremely close (call it paranoid but I’m a human bloodhound) and I don’t like the aroma I’m smelling. It’s faint , sure but … in my opinion this deodorant failed at deodorising. Another one bites the dust I guess …. I shall keep searching. :(

Doubles as a standalone deodorant stick

I wanted to try a new deodorant as a lot of highstreet ones don't last very long, even though I use a lot, and by the end of my shift I'm self conscious that I smell a bit armpitty. I felt a lot more confident wearing this one at work and wasn't at all conscious of my peri-menopausal increase in B-O. But it does dry a bit crusty under the armpit. Goes on like a thick cream stick but dries. It comes off well enough in the shower with exfoliating gloves but I worry it will block pores or cause a build-up of product. I think I will buy another one though as it genuinely does keep my armpits stink-free all day.

I wear this only to bed and once I wake up, I have an odour that I don’t usually have with regular deodorant nor with the spray version when I wake up. I absolutely love the spray version, when I wear it to bed I have no smell. I even tried testing it (the spray version not the stick) by staying home all day and not showering and I loved it. However, I bought the stick version for when I’m on holiday and I’ll be sweating. I know that the spray version will just sweat off. If you’re seriously concerned about smelling musty, I’d recommend the spray version for when it’s cold. Other than that, invest in another deodorant for when it’s hot.

A good deodorant that helps care for the environment by reusing packaging.

To me it smells like a candle and feels like one too it doesn't swipe easily onto the underarm so to get a good amount on it really hurt my skin and left me with bright red sore areas. It didn't work, I normally use dove stick and I can go over 24 hours without a bad scent coming but this deoderant didn't even last 4 hours and when the odour came i couldn't even tell apart from coming quite close so by the time I realised I needed to clean myself (still less than 24 hrs later mind) the scent of the deoderant and the odour was so strong and stuck to my now sore skin that I could barely wash it off. The vetiver scent I don't think works with my skin I dunno about skin in general but it created a new scent when mixed with my natural body odour that was so foul I have literally never smelt myself be so bad even when I went 2 weeks without changing my clothes, cleaning my underarms or using deoderant at all when I was clinically depressed and unmotivated. I have tried washing my underarms with different bar and liquid soaps 3 or 4 times in the past 24 hours and the horrid smell is still lingering and my armpits are super sore I can't shave or use any deoderant or a perfumed cream on them right now to try and hide the smell until my armpits are able to be cleaned without pain I had to wash them with just water and am now having to put coconut oil onto them to moisturise and neutralise the odour I think it could be an allergic reaction to the high perfume content though this has never happened before with any deoderant and I've tried lots, or maybe it's just because I had to use such force to get any deoderant onto my skin. The deoderant is also very crumbly when you do get any off the stick and drops everywhere it went all over my bedsheets and made a mess and the cardboard packaging doesn't seem to work super well as this makes a mess too when pushing the stick up and down and putting the lid on. A lot gets smeared on the outside of the tube. It's a strange scent but not bad seems to suit a candle moreso but it's strong like you'd want from a deoderant and I love the idea behind it but unfortunately I had a very bad experience. I hope this review will help with product improvements. I bought this because it had good reviews and was cruelty free I'm not bothered about it being vegan or all natural or organic or environmentally friendly personally (no problem with it doing those things too I'm just saying they don't sway me but I will only buy leaping bunny approved stuff) as I need to find a new deoderant that works but this did NOT fit the bill. I was thinking of trying a different scent at first but after the soreness it gave me its just put me off any more of these deoderant products.

I love Salt of the Earth products but I believe this has a different fragrance from the rollerball, unpleasantly so, which made it unusable for me (also irritating because I’d bought three). I had assumed the fragrance would be identical to the rollerball (which I love) and felt sad too because I’d rather not be using the plastic option. I wish they hadn’t messed with the mix :(
