Q: I have a hoop by my driveway and it has been taking in water from the sprinklers. Would this fit around a square 4" pole and keep out water?

It would help but I'm not sure it would keep it totally out.

No.The net is included with the Goalrilla basketball kit.

Q: I currently have a pole and base pad, it’s been through 3 teenage boys in 6 years. Needs replaced., does it require me to tack the backboard off?

Not sure what "tack the backboard off" means. I was concerned that the pad would not fit with my pole and base pad but it fit perfectly. The installation was also simple and easy.

Q: What is the lowest it can go?

This pole pad is 68” tall and 4” thick. It extends to cover the baseplate and hardware.
