What is the point of carbon monoxide (co) shutdown feature if generators can only be used outside?

The carbon monoxide (CO) sensor is an additional safety feature that automatically shuts off the generator when the concentration of carbon monoxide around the generator reaches dangerous levels. All generators are lethal if ran indoors, even those that are equipped with carbon monoxide sensor. No generator should ever be run indoors.
