Traditional Chinese medicine, astragalus is considered a "qi tonic" with antiviral, antibacterial, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory properties. Arrives as chopped up dried root. I add to a pot with other ingredients and simmer to sip throughout the day, particularly if I feel illness coming on.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve used astragalus for years, mostly cut & sifted for tea. These are thin diagonal slices, best for long steeping. When I opened the plastic jar, the distinctive scent was strong and fresh. So far, so good!

An open sealing product, flakes spilled out of open lid into the package. Obviously a returned and opened/used food product, but sold as new. Sarcastically, it says no return is ever allowed on this product.
