I've used Ugreen product for a while and always found them to be good quality. This is no exception. This is a very useful SSD enclosure for your NVMe drives.I am personally using this so that I can keep a clone of the main drive that is in my PC. It fits my 2280 SSD without issue and with the provided thermal pad the case fits quite snugly - which is to be expected as the case is part of the cooling mechanism of the enclosure.The enclosure is easy to use. Just push the button to open the drive. Securely push your SSD into the socket and use the screw in the appropriate hole to secure the drive into place. Apply the thermal pad and then close the enclosure again.The drive is easy to transfer from one PC to another as it is simply connected to your USB socket.The enclosure is able to transfer data from the host to the drive inside the enclosure at a good speed.When used for a long time, transferring data the enclosure can get warm, but that is showing that it is transferring heat away from the SSD and into the enclosure. This helps keep your drive from overheating and extends its lifespan.

Pros:1) Overall works well and great solution compared to buying a larger capacity USB or a m.2 nas.2) Nice feeling rugged case. Have travelled with m.2 and it keeps them secure. Even came with a cooling pad but didn't install as swapping nvmes.3) easy to use plugin in play solution compared to buying m.2 nas storage4) affordable for the price, compact and can travel with easy.Cons:1) cooling solution not great would be useful if it had a fan/heatsink inbuilt but for the price you can't complain.2) the m.2 securing notch is a bit janky.Overall value for money.

It works as intended and my only criticism would be that the retaining catch - to hold the M.2 drive in position - is a bit fiddly. It may have been my big fingers but I found it took several attempts to get the catch into position. Having done so I'm going to leave the drive in place rather than mess about with the catch as it's a nuisance to try and put it back in place if you dislodge it from the mounting hole. Otherwise, perfectly good and seems like a quality piece of kit.

Purchased so I can write home assistant OS to a rasberry PI NVMe drive, very well made and I'd imagine it would made a very stable portable drive. However that isn't what I'm using it for. Transfer speed is great and no errors in data transfer so I really don't have anything to fault it on. Again another great product by UGREEN!

I got this for myself as i had a spare 500gb M.2 NVMe drive after installing a larger one in my gaming PCIt arrived in the normal branded box, on opening your meet with the drive and the choose of usb cables, the drive is well made with 3 parts first being the main body where the M.2 NVMe drive is mounted. Its made from durable plastic and fitting was simple its simply plug and play and a small clip holds the other end down, i recommend using the provided thermal pad this is important to help maintain temp. Once M.2 NVMe drive is fitted the main body which is an aluminum alloy shell which helps with heat dispersion then over that goes a nice silicone cover the over all look is simple yet modern.The M.2 NVMe enclosure is tool free for quickly installing and removing SSDs. The beauty is its Plug and play, no driver required.Speed is really good moving a file of around 1.2GB took around 30 seconds from my MacBook using the supplied usb c cableOver all supper happy and happy to recommend

I would actually award 0 stars if I could.I bought 2 of these through Amazon - 1 in November 2024 & 1 in January 2025 as I thought, after purchasing the 1st one, that this was a fantastic product and so easy to install the m.2 drive.I have not used the caddy's often: the 1st I have used 3 times and the 2nd drive once.They have been kept on a shelf on my desk when not in use so have been kept extremely safe and secure.I needed to use drive inside the caddy I bought in November 2 days ago & my laptop said the drive was currupt. Windows asked if I wanted to reformat the drive and when I accepted it wouldn't format it.I have since tried it on a pc and the same thing happens.I have now installed the m.2 drive in another caddy and the drive still works perfectly.The same thing has happened with the m.2 drive in the second caddy too.I am very disappointed in your product and with 2 of them having gone wrong with very little use. I have emailed the company to tell them how disappointed I was and to ask for a refund. I will update if I receive one.
