Grow like a pro - even if you aren't one.
If you grow in pots, bags or boxes - really any vessel that isn't directly in the ground - then you need to get ProMix on your radar. The Mycorrhizae makes your soil into a living biomass. The peat moss and perlite give the blend the perfect porosity. It makes watering/feeding so much more forgiving. It won't hold too much moisture to drown your plants, allows super easy passage for root development and is super easy to amend with nutrients, worm castings, supplements, etc. Every season after final harvest, we reuse our amended ProMix as a base and supplement with fresh bags.I could keep typing forever on this one. I'm just a hobbyist, but when people see my garden they think I'm a professional grower. Results speak for themselves.

A soil review with a picture of the soil
I was pretty happy with the other Pro Mix, the HP regular. This one is HP CC, meaning chunk coir. Because unlike HP regular, the second ingredient in this mix is chunk coir rather than perlite. So there's 5mm or 1/4 inch coir chunks dispersed throughout, with a smaller amount of perlite. This still gives high porosity (hence HP), meaning good aeration, but the chunk coir holds on to moisture very well over perlite. So this mix stays wetter, longer than HP regular. This is useful for plants that don't mind having wet roots while keeping aeration to avoid root rot. Regular HP is great at preventing root rot but dries rather fast, so you have to keep up with watering. Like the other Pro Mix soils, you should be on a normal fertilizing regimen very soon after potting, or load in slow release when working with it.This is probably the better choice if you want Pro Mix HP's great loose, fluffy soil but tend to forget to water for long periods.
