So helpful!
This was an awesome supplement for something needing the vitamins. It helped tremendously and was so easy to understand the doses. I don’t think I noticed any sleep quality difference.

Good packaging and easy to swallow capsules.
This is the 3rd variety of l-methyl folate supplements I have tried, and these were packaged nicely, and the capsules were easy to swallow without a bad smell or taste.I wrote a long review on another similar product, so I'll try not to hit you with a huge wall of text like the other one ended up being, but I'll probably fail. ;-)If you are thinking of taking this supplement, do some research first. My sister first got me into the idea of taking this stuff because she had genetic testing done with help and advice from her naturopath type healthcare practitioner, and the results showed she had the MTHFR mutation. More than that, her results showed her having 'both' mutations, I don't recall what they were named but basically her results showed that both of her parents must have had the mutations in order for her to get the results she got. I don't really understand all of this, I'm just giving my own info from what little I know about it. The point is, with her having a supposed extreme variation of the MTHFR mutation, her naturopath suggested she start taking the l-methyl folate supplement, and over a period of months they slowly adjusted the dose until she felt they were helping her mental state in a comfortable way. She now takes the 15mg dose every day.As her brother, I therefore assumed I have the same mutation, so I started taking the 15mg supplement. After doing research online, it turns out that 15mg is a very high dose, and I've always been sort of an extreme kind of person so of course I thought 'more is better'. I can tell you now, from my experience, I would suggest NOT doing this. The high dose made me feel....wrong. Maybe antsy, irritated, just more mentally 'off' in some way that's hard to explain. So, I tried to take half the dose, and it seemed to go back and forth, sometimes maybe I felt fine and other times I felt irritated, anxious, and antsy. My point is, try to get the genetic tests done if you can, to make sure you actually have the MTHRF mutation, and work with a healthcare professional if you can, and as all the advice online says, START WITH A LOW DOSE and work your way up. I know these 15mg pills are cheap, compared to the same size bottle of let's say 1mg dosage, and yes, you can try to take just half or 1/4th at a time, but that's not very precise, and I'd highly suggest that at the start you go low, like 1mg, and take a couple weeks, then slowly work your way up until you find the mental state that feels right for you.Another thing I'll add, is that I no longer take the supplement. I found a dose that didn't make me feel anxious or antsy or irritated, but at that point it didn't really feel like it made me feel much of anything, so I decided to just go back off it and work on the other factors in my life that effect my mental state like sleep, diet, exercise, stress, and drug/alcohol use. On the other hand, another one of my siblings has had a pretty severe history of mental issues, I won't go all into it because it's a private thing, I get that, but I gave them all the l-methyl folate that I had bought to test out, and now he basically swears by it. I can actually tell when he runs out, let's just put it that way. So, for them, taking the supplement, PLUS eating fish a few times a week, instead of the purely vegetarian diet that they had been on for years, makes them a lot more mentally stable and a lot less aggressive/angry and violent. (I'm using 'they/them' to try to keep it more private, as I have multiple siblings.)This is all new stuff, and I'm sure in time the 'scientific' community will have a lot more data and research done, and I'll bet that one day this supplement will be prescribed and covered by insurance for a lot of people, just like genetic testing will be one day too, I'm sure. But for now, I can definitely see how this stuff could help some people, but again, if you only take one thing from this review, my advice is to start with a low dose and work your way up. Also, one final note--I tried both capsules and tablets, and basically, I noticed that the effects seem to kick in faster with the capsules, so you get to the full effect quicker, while with the tablets the effect seemed to slowly progress until the full results were felt--You may want to try both and see which feel better to you. Also, just because you have the MTHFR mutation it doesn't mean that these supplements are needed or will help. The mutation is more like a POSSIBLE effect happening in your body, but it doesn't mean that it is definitely happening with you in any noticeable way. It's complicated, and I wish we could all jump like 100 years into the future when I'm sure more of this genetic type of stuff will be understood better.Good luck, and remember that there are many things that effect our mental state, and there is no one miracle cure-- I think it has a lot to do with learning to live with healthy and consistent habits when it comes to our sleep, diet, exercise, stress, and the alcohol/drug use like I mentioned before.

Good quality
First time buying it from Amazon. Seems to be working and effective. Might need a higher dose though. The pills aren’t that big but smell a little funny

Bioactive folate
I was directed by my Dr to take this. I have the MTHFR gene mutation that prevents me from converting man-made fake folic acid into bioactive methyl folate. I take this and avoid the fake folic acid as much as possible. Many people have this gene mutation and don't know it. Go get checked. It's important

Great value
Doctor gave me a script for this. My insurance doesn’t cover vitamins or supplements so the pharmacy said this was the same thing and wouldn’t cost me 150 dollars out of pocket a month! I’ve been taking it for awhile now and I’m not sure if it’s a placebo effect or not but I’ve noticed some improvement with my energy. Not much, but something is better than nothing. So for me, I’ll continue to take it.
