Not just for guitarists, this is a great fuzz pedal to use with Synthesizers too!
I purchased this to use with my Behringer TD-3 Bassline synthesiser and I'm so glad I did as it's turned it into an Acid monster! It absolutely transforms the sound and is so much better than the on-board distortion which sounds rather tame and polite in comparison. As others have mentioned, as you move the sustain past the midway mark it does introduce background noise, but this really isn't noticeable when running a fast acidic baseline through it.All in all, it sounds great, is built well and at a great price too!

True Bypass EQ Pedal at Bargain Price
Fantastic little graphic EQ pedal with TRUE BYPASS, unlike several much more expensive items, Boss GE-7 included! Metal case so should withstand the requirements of a working musician.Superb value for money, going to order a couple more!

Great Sonics and Incredible value for money in a small package.
This nano size guitar stomp box is real value for money. It's name - 'Dumbler' - implies that it mimics the sound of the Howard Dumble boutique guitar amplifiers, as used by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Carlos Santana. Well, as Dumble is now deceased, and he made very few amplifiers in his lifetime, those amplifiers - if you can find one - sell for tens of thousands of dollars. It's a tall order, therefore, to ask a humble, budget-priced bit of kit to approximate that sound. How would I know what it sounded like, anyway? A Fender Twin or a Vox AC30 or a Marshall - I know roughly how they sound. As a tone boost for lead guitar work, though, it really is excellent. I have a Hughes & Kettner guitar combo, and I simply put the bass / mid / treble controls all at '12 O'clock', plugged the Dumbler pedal in (bear in mind it runs off 9V mains power only - no battery) and started experimenting with it. Initially, I put the volume, tone and gain knobs on the Dumbler at '12 O'clock also. I played a Tokai 'Love Rock' Les Paul copy with humbucker pick-ups, and on the bridge pick-up the Dumbler adds a pleasing cutting edge, the pick‐up is quite fat-sounding, but the pedal adds intensity and bite. Dialing up the 'voice' adds a little dirt into the sound, but whacking up the volume pot with gain at the middle really adds a bit of rasp that is full and dynamic.I am no electric guitar virtuoso, but I like a good guitar sound - I haven't tried it with my Telecaster, Stratocaster, or my P90 pick-upped Peerless semi-acoustic, but I am greatly looking forward to putting the Dumbler through its paces! In the meantime, so far so very good, and at this price you simply cannot afford NOT to check the Dumbler out!

Just right for my needs.
Very nice. Just the kind of distortion pedal I needed. Not suited to every genre but for me it was just the ticket. Mine works flawlessly.

Don't waste your money on this
Rubbish pedal, get the Boss bass EQ instead or even the Behringer bass EQ, really noisy pedal which makes it unusable.

Can't complain at this price!
I use this subtly into a clean amp and it seems to nail that edge of smooth, slightly silky breakup in ways that fully maintain the low end, unlike other drive effects, which can often thin things out. I'm mostly playing gentle, clean, slightly jazzy stuff with single coil pickups (double P90s LP and a Jazz Master), and this pedal helps give some tonal-dynamic expressiveness, giving louder notes/chords a hint of saturation and warm breakup. Sure, more expensive Dumble pedals will probably have a bit more finesse or whatever, but if you're looking a hint of colouration without spending much money, this is a great option.

Needs mains power
Bought this for home use but found that it needs mains power NOT a 9v battery, should have read the item description! So haven’t been able to use it yet, online reviews say that it’s good but none mention the power issue so beware.
