Yes you can. I used loadpro on Vanso multiplex modules daily. That module can show 12/24V unloaded but can not carry the amps needed. Loading that suspected circuit will determine if it can carry a load. Thus, load pro! 12v = 500ma load 24v = 1amp load. Vansco modules output 2-30amp to loads.

Can this be dangerous for ECM if putting a load on a circuit with accidently reversed polarity?

You can safely load a circuit that’s directly powered from the ecm. At 12v, it only applies a .500 milliamp load. Less amperage draw than a fuel injector.
