Q: can this recorder take memory card???

It doesn't take a memory card, but you can connect it to a PC or laptop and transfer the audio files to a hard drive or other external memory.

Q: Is there a transcription software that can be used with this recorder?

The sound file can be saved in wav or mp3 files and downloaded, if your transcription software can read that. Or if the transcription software takes real time sound input, there is a 3.5 mm sound output.

Q: Call me dumb, but how do you charge the thing?
