It took 2 hours to put together by myself (40f). It's gorgeous but was quite a task, as only about half the holes were predrilled. I recommend a power screw driver, a socket wrench, rubber mallet, measuring tape, square with measurements, a pencil, and a drill. There are no anchors so my next task is to pour some concrete footers, move the arbor to its final location, and anchor it in place over my walkway. Assemble in place if you don't have a 2nd set of hands to help move the assembled arbor, as it's quite bulky once put together. It's very solid and I have no concerns about it lasting a few decades.

Using pre-drilled pieces made assembly quick and easy. Stained and sealed all pieces before assembly to mitigate weathering. Good value. Very sturdy. Did use ground anchors to counter winds.

It would of been easy to assemble if there had been a small start of a hole in the receiving end of the boards being assembled instead of having to measure. Notably the ones that were being attached to predrilled holes - First couple side panel boards between posts, and blocks holding bench seat on posts. Overall the wood was nice and it looks good put together!

My landscaper was able to assemble this in just a matter of an hour! We were impressed with the quality of material and finish. One bit of advice, I wish I had painted the pieces prior to construction, however it has aged nicely so no regrets. No missing parts and it was a considerable value compared to local garden shops.

My fiancee and I got this arbor for our outdoor, COVID-friendly wedding as a backdrop. The day before, my father-in-law and brother-in-law took it outside and started the assembly process.Overall, it wasn't super difficult to put together. The directions weren't too detailed, but there wasn't all that much that they would need to say. The two sources of difficulty we experienced had to do with the pre-drilled holes.First, I should say that for the majority of the connections, there were no pre-drilled holes. There were only two pieces of wood that you're supposed to drill free-handed into each other. Thanks to the meticulous use of a carpenter's square, we got it looking pretty good, but this could easily have been a disaster in the hands of anybody less persnickety. A little help here would have been nice.The other problem, and I dare say this one is a bit more pressing, is that where there were pre-drilled holes they seemed to be misaligned. In particular, the holes for the bolts connecting the top section with the two sides were off by about 1/4 inch in either direction, so we had to get in there with a drill bit and remove material until they could line up and a bolt could be passed through. Not cool, guys!Anyway, it wasn't too difficult otherwise, and the thing does look nice and seem sturdy now that it's assembled. However, I was disappointed by the shoddy workmanship and poor planning. Would it kill you to just line up your drill a bit better?

The instructions could have been a little more clear but we got through it ok. Our youngest son is getting married, and the ceremony will be in our back yard. Him and hid Bride will walk and take a few photos under it.

This arbor replaces one that we had for at least 15 years. This is much sturdier, for example, the slats on the side for the vines to climb on our much thicker. Very pleased with this. We found it easy to put together but it does take at least a couple of hours if not three.

This arbor arrived early. It was easy to set up and looks beautiful. All the 2x material and smaller was clear. The headers had a couple of knots. I am very happy with the quality. Of course it could be less expensive. But everything is tooo costly.
