Oh ya,.... this stuff is awesome.
I will be buying more, it did great. Only one time for about 2 mins did the wood stove have a smell. And it smelled like cooking vegetables oil. Almost like I was using a deep fryer. Heck it smelled less then when I use my deep fryer. My stove looks amazing. It did so good, that I got family members who are going to have me clean there wood stove with it. You can't go wrong with this. Let me tell you, my stove was so rusted. Was in storage for 2 years, and the storage had a leak. Follow directions and you should be good to go.

Like Magic!
I have an old Vermont Casting Resolute wood stove that's still in pretty good shape (they don't make them like they used to) that I bought dirt cheap off someone and installed it in my home. The stove just needed a little TLC and boy did this jet black, gooey stuff do the job! Truly brought the stove back around to a clean, flat matte polish. I had a little rust I wire brushed off as best as possible, though not all of it was gone. It didn't matter too much. Wear surgical gloves when applying with a rag, otherwise you'll be scrubbing your hands like mad to get it off. It has graphite in it and it feels like shoe polish. My stove looks close to brand new and not over 40 years old!

Excellent product IF applied properly
I certainly wish that I had received the instructions and tips that I am going to provide here today 5 years ago when I acquired my flame view wood cook stoveAfter having endured rusty and stained cooking surface and 4 years wiping and polishing and wiping and polishing with every known type of material that could be recommended in any YouTube video or blog I finally found the original conditioner for all cook stoves and cast iron.Stove black. All it is is a mixture of paraffin wax and carbon or charcoal. I bought a pumice phone and removed as much of the rust and stains from the surface of my stove that I could. my cooking surface is a solid steel plate not stainless. The stove is trimmed with cast iron and nickel. The trick is to apply the absolute thinnest coat of stove black that you can. This is accomplished by applying it when the stove is at room temperature about 70 degrees - if the stove is too warm it will absorb to quickly and that will result in a lot of smoke and wastage of product once you fire up the stove. if you apply too cold then you won't get anything penetration and it will require much more elbow grease. when you apply a small blob it should just sit there like a piece of chocolate at 70° - once you increase the temperature a few degrees by rubbing it will then melt/blend into the metal surface. rub hard and keep rubbing until it's all absorbed very evenly and smoothly. i did this process twice before I tried firing up the stove. the stove surface already looked pretty good. once I fired up the stove there was no smoke whatsoever. there was a small odor of wax burning.i also applied it to the cast iron trim and wiped off any that for on the nickel. After the stove cooled down I did the same procedure applying two more thin coats. so far NO rust returned and the surface looks great. I plan to apply once more but as of now the stove surface looks beautiful close to the surface of a properly finished cast iron pan. So I highly recommend this product I would give it 5 stars except that they don't provide any instructions and they end up with the crappy reviews about smoke and other problems. if they provided the instructions in this review I think 100% of the people would find this product completely acceptable.

Makes wood stoves look brand new
This works great and is the best stove polish we've used with one exception: The black tint will rub off on your hands if you touch the stove surface after applying it and allowing it to dry. So just realize that you have to apply it and and buff the excess off the wood stove surface a couple of times in order to get the excess tint off. A little goes a long ways.

This Stuff is a lifesaver!
Made the mistake of putting cast iron range grates in the dishwasher. Came out stained and a bit rusty. (though clean). This product restored the black finish to its original color and luster. Used a small paintbrush to apply and then buffed with a rag. Highly Recommend!

Transformed My Old Wood Stove!
MEECO'S RED DEVIL Black Stove Polish worked wonders on my old wood stove. It restored the finish beautifully, and now it looks like new! Everyone who sees it thinks I just bought a brand new stove. It does require some work to apply, but the results are totally worth it. Highly recommend for restoring the look of any wood stove!

Product is ok but good lord, they did a terrible job with the shipping. It leaked all over the place, the lid wasnt tight at all and should have been wrapped or taped up some how.
