Q: Are the pocket large enough for a spare mask and id there a d-ring insight for secure a smb and reel?

Plenty big for spare mask. I keep my spare mask in one pocket, large DSMB and spool in the other. Plenty of room for additional stuff in each pocket. There are bungee loops to clip off items as well.

Q: I'm 36 inch waist. i am a scuba diver and whitwater kayaker. want to use same pair over 3mil scuba and large drysuit kayaking thinking xl or xxl???
