If You Go Down to the Woods Today

One of our FAVORITE books! My 6 year old and I love reading the poetry and playing I spy with this book at bedtime. It’s so beautiful with so many sweet characters to find. Even as a grown woman I genuinely love this book. I plan on getting the second book in the series for my second daughter.

I adore the illustrations in this book. Each page is filled with things to search/find and giggle about. I highly recommend this book for the poems and pictures. Also...It's easy to pick up and look at for fun, even on days when the littles aren't into reading lots of words. I use it to help children tell their own story about the pictures they see.

These books are so cool. The art is beautiful. Perfect for any age. They're fun to just gaze at for hours looking for things. The hardback is beautiful with the gold foil letters.

There are so many charming, delightful details to enjoy, to become engrossed in within the pages of If You Go Down to the Woods Today. This reminds me of the beloved hours shared reading with my parents and me as a tiny child, then with my own 4 children, & then with theirs…becoming totally enchanted by the animals, the cozy, inviting settings and obvious love of Nature!I’ve recently discovered this book and have already purchased several as gifts for young, treasured little ones as well as one for our own bookshelves for our kiddos now and to come!

The illustrations are beautiful in this book. Kids (and adults) will enjoy the find challenges on every page and just admiring the details in each scene.

The illustrations in this book are beautiful. Each 2 page spread has a rhyming "story," and tells the reader (probably an adult) to have the child look for different things, making it interactive. The illustrations are detailed and entertaining, which will make for lots of "looking" enjoyment. Nicely done!

My son calls these types of books “looking books” and this one is my fav! The illustrations are beautiful and the pages are busy enough for some things to be fairly challenging to locate. My son is four and we adore it!
