What colour are these?

Each individual light has only one color. It's yellow, red, green, or blue. There are ten of each. The globes are just under 3/4" in diameter. The lights are controlled in two groups, which means "chase" mode doesn't really work.

Can this be used for balcony out side without batteries?

Do these have multiple settings ? I don’t like the flashing one so I would want to opt not to use it

Yes, it has that option however, the controls do not work correctly. You can program them but , they do what they want! They turn on when they are not set, flash when they want, etc. I try setting them everyday but in 24 hours you just don’t know what you will get. I bought them 3 weeks ago and have not gotten any consistent performance.
