I am happy with this green tea supplement as it has all the quality hallmarks I look for in a supplement. For one thing, it is formulated in the USA, which gives peace of mind. It is also non-GMO, another plus. The nutrition label includes all dosage amounts for one capsule, which I really appreciate because when "serving size" is two or three capsules, this can get confusing and make the supplement seem stronger or a better value than it is.As for the supplement itself, I have been taking green tea for years, really just for the antioxidants and many other health benefits of green tea, and because I do not drink tea. This product's label says it's for weight loss, but I am taking it for green tea's overall health benefits. I could stand to lose a few pounds but honestly am not trying to, so I can't comment on the weight loss angle. I have seen a review stating that 15mg of caffeine is too high for this supplement and another saying the caffeine amount is low. IMHO, the amount is low at 15 mg per capsule. Tea is naturally caffeinated, so this is where the caffeine is coming from, it was not added. The average cup of coffee has about 100 mg, so 15 is a low amount in my book, but I suppose even a small amount is too much for someone trying to avoid caffeine completely. Strict vegans won't like that the gelatin capsules are bovine, but for me that is not a worry.Overall I am happy with this supplement as the dose of green tea is generous, 500mg in one capsule, and the bottle contains 120 capsules, making this a good value. It seems to be a high quality product and Potent Garden is a USA company, which for me is a big plus when it comes to supplements.

I have taken these capsules as directed and unfortunately have not seen any results yet. After surgery, I could not play sports in my usual mode and as a result I gained about 10lb. Returning to training, I thought why not have support in the form of extra energy in losing weight. I took the capsules as directed. The capsules are standard in size and easy to swallow, and they do not have a pronounced taste or smell. I cannot say that I feel a burst of energy after taking the capsule. Well, in any case, I will finish them to the end and maybe the result will appear later. At least maybe I'll get the benefits of green tea. I cannot recommend these capsules or not recommend them, as every person is different and everyone can have completely different effects from taking the same supplement. I started taking green tea capsules about five years ago for the health benefits as I didn't like drinking tea. The caffeine boost and appetite suppressant were wonderful side effects. Fast forward five years and I now love drinking green tea but it doesn't have enough concentrated caffeine, so I still take the capsules for the energy and mental clarity it provides. This Potent Garden brand provides the health benefits and appetite suppressant but unfortunately only 15 mg of caffeine and I find 60 to 80 mg is what works best for me. The Amazon description wasn't clear about the caffeine content but the details are on the label. If you are avoiding caffeine intake, this is a great option to reduce your consumption. The capsules are easy to swallow and this is a great price for quality product.

For anyone who is or has been using green tea extract, this is a pretty good product in my opinion. After trying it I find I don't get the caffeine rush like some of the other green tea products caused. I am a coffee drinker though and that may have a bearing on the issue.I've been using a green tea extract now for just over three months in addition to a healthy diet and have lost 12 pounds. In truth, the diet most likely has a huge part to play in this, but the green tea capsules (twice a day) do seem to help curb the appetite some.I will suggest that a good idea is to take these with a full glass of water since it can taste pretty bad if it gets stuck and then I start burping up green tea powder. (yuck) The only other issue I have with this is the lack of a definitive statement regarding the amount of caffeine in the capsules. It does say "5% Max".OK, 5% by volume, 5% by weight, 5% by guess and by golly? As a result I don't use this in the evening.The price is decent at $8 a month (twice a day, not once a day) for a non-GMO product. The downside to that is that I did not get an answer regarding the origin of the tea. Tea is primarily grown in three areas of the planet commercially. India (#2) Indonesia #3) and..... yes China (#1).That tends to make me consider that the product is a Chinese grown product with ChiCom regulators in control who I don't have a great deal of trust in. At this $16 price for a four month supply of a pill a day, plus throw in a general positive nature to green tea, I think this seems like a great supplement that might be worth a try. I've used it and seem to have experienced losing a few pounds at a time when I haven't otherwise altered diet or exercise habits. I will be slowly shifting off of my soda caffeine intake and attempt to use these as a substitute which should get me away from some of my usual sugary intake.
