40+5 uF 40/5 MFD ±5% 370V/440VAC Dual Run Start Capacitor CBB65 Works for AC Unit Fan Motor Start or Heat Pump or Condenser Straight Cool

A little bigger diameter than the original one from my RV A/C unit but it fit by adjusting the bracket and works great at 1/3rd the cost.

This was a exact replacement capacitor for my furnace fan motor. All the connectors were exactly the same as my old one, so it was an easy switch over. It's been running for many months with no issues. I would recommend this capacitor.

Decided to start regularly testing my HVAC capacitors after my ECM blower motor failed and took 1k away from my bank account (not sure if the built-in capacitor was the issue but it got me thinking).I purchased a Klein CL390 to check for capacitance on both my capacitors in my outside unit (herm and fan). I should note I only use this dual run Surephon for the compressor side while I use a separate capacitor for my fan. My fan is an aftermarket part and needs 5uf, not 10uf. Since I also need a 2.5 inch cylinder capacitor to fill the hole punched out in my control box, I just buy this 45+10 for the herm side and keep a 2nd 5uf capacitor for the fan.Back to the review of the Surephun. The part itself was a near replacement to the previous capacitor I bought at a local HVAC shop (one of the few that sells to customers) 2 yrs ago for $65 + gas and travel time. They were both Surephon 45+10, but the old one was 440VAC where this one is 370/440VAC. All else was the same.After 2 yrs of heavy use (I live in Texas and keep my AC at 67°f - 72°f even when its 100°f+ outside) the capacitance on the original part was 43.6mf (42.5 is the low side of the +/- 5%). For $17 on Amazon I decided to proactively go ahead and just replace it.If this $17 part lasts 2-3 years under heavy stress, high ambient temps, helps keeps my compressor operating efficiently, and keeps my family and pets cool year round I will call it a win.I recommend this part from Amazon! My air conditioner stopped working randomly and with some research and advice, it was suggested to try and replace the capacitor. The price, convenience, and expedient delivery is hard to beat! Pay attention to the specs to make sure it is compatible. Very easy to install. The dimensions are slightly different than the old one but it was a non issue since there was plenty of room.

It took 2 shipments, because the first capacitor was bad. But capacitors are finicky so I tried to exert some grace and reordered again from the same supplier… Bingo 2nd order was perfect.
