52T/42T x 170mm Crankset for Mountain Road Bike Fixed Gear Bicycle (52T/42T Chainring)

Machining on the square taper is not correct and will not fully insert on the BB. Very poor quality item is defective

I just stripped and repainted my Peugeot UO9 '79 road bike. Cleaning up the componentry along the way, I discovered I needed a new crankset; this product fit my specs at 52T/42T and 170mm crank arms. However upon close inspection of the part, I found a lumpy surface finish and a visibly crooked hole for the square taper, indicating a poorly made/machined product. I tried attaching it for the heck of it and the result was a wobbly rotation of the crankset, which is not ideal.I'm returning the part and going for another brand, if you don't want the risk I'd advise you to do the same!

This is a nice, inexpensive crankset, but the square taper hole was machined improperly. It did not go into the bottom bracket all the way and it was angled incorrectly also.
