Excellent film companion
The media could not be loaded. There are two books on the making of the film. This is one (160 pages) and the other is 'Inside the Magic: The Making of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' (144 pages). Both books talk about the making of the film so I don't know why it's necessary to put out two books other than to confuse the fans. I recommend getting The Case of Beasts instead because it's the better book. This is a hardcover book that comes with a magnetic latch which is quite cool as it's made to look like Newt's case.Focus of this book are on the characters and location. It talks in detail about the actors, the story characters and the locations. It answers a lot of whys and hows. You can read about why the actors are casted, the peculiar of the characters, how they recreated the 1920s New Yorks, how the sets were designed, the props that were used, the research that went into making the film. There are lots of behind-the-scenes photos, film stills, designs and pictures of the props. This book is presented like a scrapbook. There are also items pasted onto the pages, such as Henry Shaw's campaign brochure, Porpertina Goldstein's identification card issued by Macusa, two maps one of which was shown pinned to a board in the film, large wanted posters for Newt and Porpertina, and an application form for wand permit. There's so much to explore in this book. I'm pretty sure it will delight all fans of the film.(See more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

Five Stars for a Fantastic Introduction to the World of Fantastic Beasts
The Case of Beasts: Explore the Film Wizardry provides an exciting introduction to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I pre-ordered the book after watching the final trailer released in September. Prior to the release of the final trailer I was not as excited about the Fantastic Beasts series, I don't know if my lack of excitement was due to a subconscious feud with Hufflepuff but after the watching the final trailer and learning the four more films would follow the first my excitement grew. The book arrived and I viewed with shaky excited hands and an ardent curiosity. As it is a part of the Harry Potter film wizardry, The Case of Beasts shares a similar layout to Harry Potter Film Wizardry. An introduction details the pre-production of the film including J.K.'s screenwriting process, cast auditioning and location scouting, ideation and set design and building. The book contains character biography, setting background, and tons of extras including MACUSA ID Card, Senator Shaw pamphlet. New Salem Philanthropic Society pamphlet, MACUSA map, Newt and Tina Wanted posters, Mappa Mundi map and a Wand application. If you're on the fence between The Case of Beasts and The Art of the Film: Fantastic Beasts, I would purchase both but if you can only purchase one I recommend The Case for Beasts.

A MUST OWN!
If you are a JK wizarding world fan, a HP fan, a Beasts fan, or an "I always watch all the behind the scenes extras" person, this is for you. Filled with epherma and tidbits about the characters and world, it delivers in big way. Showcased and organized, infromation is pulled from actors, diectors, writers, designers and wrapped in a magnetically closed "case". Of course I will always want more, but that is the nature of HP fandom. *Spoiler* My only complaint is Tina's wand isnt showcased and detailed like Newt's, Queenie's, Graves's, & Seraphina's are.

Love the book
The content of the book is perfect I am really enjoying it and very glad I bought it. The shipment was super fast but it did arrive damaged on the corners because it did not come packed with anything to protect it but I have markers of that color and I painted them and it looks very good, it seems part of the design.

A beautiful addition to any prospective wizard's or witch's collection.
This book is fantastic - pun so intended. Its beautiful artwork is reminiscent of the entire Wizarding World saga, as well as a bunch of additional pop-ups and things, that will have you really feeling as though you are part of the magical world. One such example is an intricate map of the mountainous regions populating our continents, and another is a wand permit, and Wanted posters of Newton and Tina - all of them amazingly detailed. A must-have and a beautiful addition to any prospective wizard's or witch's collection.

The book is amazing! Everything is beautiful and well printed
The book is amazing! Everything is beautiful and well printed. I put 4 stars because I bought this book twice - and first time it was packed well and covered with plastic. Second time I saw that item is two times cheaper - I thought it is promotion - and ordered second time for my friend. And book arrived in bad condition with lot of scratches and with broken cover. So my advice: don’t order when the same item is cheaper - it will be with defects.
