No it is not waterproof. It's foam so it's porous, and if the side you attach the sticky side to is wet, it will not stick and will fall off.

Is the Black black or dark grey?

It's as black as the coal Santa will bring you this year. I preferred a lighter color but couldn't find one in this size.

I have a room w a glass wall and there's a gap between glass wall and drywall. The gap is 1/4 - 1/2".. Would tape help prevent sound entering room?

Not sure how your setup is, I can tell you I have a decent gap between the barn door I set up to convert a family room into a bedroom probably over 1.5 inches.. Used boards as frames and then put the tape on top between the frames and the door. I have it actually pressing against the door for a tighter seal as well as so it gives the door some resistance so it doesn't just glide open. The door opens into a small hallway that goes into the kitchen and there can be a full kitchen and kids playing and you can barely hear anything. Just muffled sounds. Before the foam you could hear any conversation. I guess it matters how tight of a seal you put together. A good firm seal I think would do a good job of preventing sound.

Works great and has a strong adhesive!

I bought this for multi-purpose fixes. I bought an over the door rack that was wobbling on my door due to the door having an insert in it. The foam padding offered the perfect amount of support to keep the rack from wobbling and protecting my door from scratches. It was easy to cut and apply to my door. It has a strong adhesive on the back that was stuck on very well!I also used it to insulate around my window AC. In the AC pic, the black line at the top is the foam padding. There was a hole there where bugs could come in and air flow out. The foam works as a great plug for the hole. It was easy to install and keeps the cool air in. No more bugs coming in through the window either!It works great for what I needed! Thanks!

I needed to fill a 2" gap under my storm door. WORKED VERY WELL.

They don't make, or I could not find an under the door seal deep enough for my custom made storm door. So after 20 years, the seal on my storm door broke and I thought I'd just go and buy a new one. Sadly, very difficult to find a 2-3 inch seal.So I had to modify the broken one and raise it up to attach it which left a 3/4 inch gap under the door. I thought if I got 1 inch weather stripping foam and then trim it to what I need, then I would be home free. It worked. It stuck very well and I was able to trim it with a very sharp utility knife.I then place another piece on the door itself and its a great seal. The foam is squishy enough to create the seal. I think the product was a little pricey for only 13ft, but my local hardware store, small outfit called Home Depot, did not have any of the thick stuff. So pay a little extra and solve the issue. DONE! No more Winter seeping into the house under that door. Everything worked out great. This is Rob approved.

I purchased this foam to cover a gap at the bottom of my security screen door to keep crawling bugs frome entering my home when I open my door for fresh air. The size and width fit perfectly and the sticky glue also held up great. I decided to let my puppy out on my front porch and when I returned home from a shotmrt shopping trip, I foundnthis foam strip shredded into many pieces. I bought 2 ships so I'll replace it lol
