Not a 64bit
I order this computer because I need one to access the net, to run a business and to have a work at home computer. I tried to install a program that does a system scan to qualify for your computer for a job and the program wouldn't install saying that it needed a 64bit system. 😫 Tech support was supportive and helpful when they replied to my emails. They replaced the harddrive telling me that they will install it and send the drive back to me. They sent me another drive and they didn't install the program and then told me how much it will cost to upgrade. I thought that the 64bit was the processor and not the hard drive. I will not purchase another low cost computer because I have learned that they are missing something. But I can still get on the net and I am able to do what I need to do using Chrome.

Pleasantly surprised.
I was very skeptical when I ordered this package. I am not tech savvy, at all. In fact, I have to hav my husband operate the remotes for our tv and Blu-ray player. I unboxed the computer package and found everything that was advertised in the description. Although the keypad, mouse and speakers were of poor quality, I decided to upgrade them. As far as he set up, it was super easy to understand. I just followed the prompts, and held my breath. In a matter of minutes, it was operational. The Windows 10 program installed itself. I was able to add my email, office, and the “cloud” held all my information. I was able to use it immediately. The only thing it could have included was the mousepad. Cosmetically it was like new, which shocked me, because it was “refurbished.”.

This is not worth any money you should spend on it
I purchased this item for my great grandson, it arrived and i opened it, one the speakers are 2" square and have white stickers on them as the speaker cover. Next, the key board is of a off brand something I have never heard of. Then the monitor is a hp 12" square on, i have never saw this before. The mouse the same off brand. The Modem is a Dell surprise to me, because it is being sold as a Dell refurbished. I can not see it the computer works because it is missing the cable to connect the modem and and monitor. I have never in my life ordered any item from amazon (private seller) that is this bad, lousy, cheap and low quality. This seller needs to be banned from amazon. Oh I almost forgot, the contact number the seller has listed is Dell.

Good value for the money
My computer came in and everything was Dell. The only thing wrong with it was a very minor scratch on the monitor which isn't noticeable most of the time. I thought that I did not receive the Wifi adapter, but I found it digging around in the box a bit. I would suggest that the adapter be somewhat more conspicuous so that people would see it was there, for example, taped to the monitor or the instructional packet, since it is so small. I wasted my money getting a second adapter, and now I have to return that due to finding the first one.The speakers are very nice, however, as is the keyboard. No dust, nothing obviously used save the one tiny scratch on the monitor. Would recommend.

... friends and relatives during the past two years with great success. The small format size makes positioning easier ...
These two computers are the 4th and 5th refurbished machines I have purchased for friends and relatives during the past two years with great success. The small format size makes positioning easier than for larger units. The units worked when turned on, automatically connected to my wireless network, and registered/activated Windows 7 without problems. I did not realize the machines came with a built-in WiFi card with antenna. I updated the Open Office program to Libre Office free of charge. The small old hard drives are no problem with the modern use of cloud storage. These machines are great for students doing their homework and general WEB browsing, especially for such a low price. One of these two units had a keyboard with errors but i just replaced it with a keyboard from a none working computer.Just as an aside, one of my three earlier machines had a hard drive failure after about 18 months. With a new $40 hard drive, the Windows 7 refurbishment installation disk had the machine working again in just two hours with no registration problems. Many hours later, all the Windows and Norton updates were installed along with all the other software. At my job, we still have many of these Dell 755s still working after being upgraded to Windows 7.

Mediocre at best. Average experience.
I should start and say, the product listed does it's job. I can now use a computer for basic functions now. However I have a couple items to bring up:First, the internal disk drive optical sensor has no way of, writing data (burn) to a CD-R or CD-RW however it can play already written CD's. I am a bit discouraged of this fact.Second, I did realize the monitor would be a separate brand but I did not expect it to be a small, outdated samsung monitor with dodgy quality, and a backlight that is as functional as my Gameboy Advance SP.Third, I did not appreciate that the blue vga cable connecting the monitor to the tower, had a missing pin. As of now, my monitor is at a 25% chance of no display from the cause of said missing pin.Overall my experience is not one of disgust, nor excellence. I will take note that the computer does serve basic functions, but when I see "certified refurbished" I would like to expect no problems, nor any servicing I must do myself (since I don't call cust. Service nor geek squad).3 of 5 stars is where I stand via average rating. I would also like to say from a customer service background, NEVER tell someone how/what to rate your services and brands. The customer is the one whom keeps you afloat, and directing them how to rate their experience is unprofessional and unethical, especially with equipment that is a bit spotty.-Thank you.

Must get Ethernet cable and more ram
The computer would not update at first so it barely worked I realized I needed more ram in order to run the update and then it still wouldn’t work so I figured it had to be something with the Wi-Fi plug in they sent and ordered an Ethernet cable and connected it directly to the Wi-Fi box and boom it works great so fast and perfect for me to continue school 💪🏽💪🏽
