Fit is perfect
Feels like a solid heavy duty piece. Only place I could find an adaptor for my 35 year old lathe and it fits great. They also refunded import fee as it was less than expected.

Great quality.
Perfect for adapting my 1-1/4 x 8tpi delta lathe down to a 1x8tpi Chuck. It doesn’t lock but if you have the time and tools you could drill/tap it for a locking screw. The only time I would expect this to unscrew is if you run in reverse and jam a chisel or forget to tighten it. I am very pleased with it.

Excellent value.
This adapter is more substantial than I was expecting. I upgraded to a 24” swing, 3 hp wood lathe with a 1 1/4” spindle but wanted to continue using some 1” chucks and faceplates. This adapter was a solid, reliable solution. It does not have a set screw for reverse sanding. The explanation I was given was because many people have damaged their spindles through improper use, so it is not included. I highly recommend this adapter. It saves lots of money allowing you to use all your 1” holding fittings.
