I wanted small antique brass looking clasps for a shadow box I was working on. These fit and worked well. These are just to keep the shadow box closed. They are really not large or heavy enough to secure it against someone trying to get in it.

I bought these for latches on small, inexpensive boxes I have made from left over scraps of bigger projects. They are great for my purpose, but they are as well made as they appear. And a bit difficult to install simply because the screws are so tiny. You need a really small Phillips driver. The boxes in my picture are 6 inch cubes holding cube puzzles.

These work well to secure small lids and keep them shut.

I ordered these because I had a box that used these hasps but the one the box broke. When the order came, I was really disappointed that no screws were included. Luckily, I had the original screws from the hasp that broke. I used the box for a month with the replacement hasps that I bought before the hasp broke again. Thank goodness there were at least 9 more included in the packaging.It's disappointing that they're so cheaply made and fragile that I will need to replace them monthly. Also disappointing that the description isn't accurate because I didn't get screws but I did get screwed!
