Electric chip cutter - strong easy to use - cuts fast
The media could not be loaded. I wish I had got one of these years ago!Perfect cut French fries and regular chips in seconds.Reason for me buying this is that there is a diabetic and someone with a wheat allergy in the house. Almost all factory made chips are not edible for this house. Good machine if you want good clean vegetables cut into chips fast that are all the same shape and size for cooking.Positives: Cuts fast. Potato to chip in seconds. Very happy!Negatives: fiddly to remove the blades for changing the blade size or cleaning. The small washers are too easy to drop and loose. The butterfly nuts are better but even these I’ve dropped on the floor twice already. Blades are very sharp, careful not to cut fingers when cleaning. You need to get to know how your machine assembles, do not over tighten the retaining nuts if the metal guard plates are improperly installed. They could bend easy and cause the machine to get jammed.

Excellent!
This came ready assembled, not heavy or awkward although arthritic. I had a soft potato to throw away so saved it to test the machine when it arrived. Excellent, quiet smooth action and the chips were in the bowl! I then put some of those in the machine and ran it once more to test the dicing action! Fantastic machine. It feels very solid and well made. I do think the smaller blade should be included with this, I was going to purchase it but I think the size you see in photos is fine for now, diced great for soups and savoury mince etc, and the chips are a nice size, in between the French fries and standard chips I buy frozen.Like others say, fiddling with the wing nuts and washers I'd rather not have to do, so I am going to think of a better safe way of securing the blade. Someone suggested you can buy wing nuts with the washers built in to them so I'll see what I can find!If you struggle to cut and chop, even if you don't, I highly recommend this well made miracle worker!

Wing nuts fiddly
Bought for wife who has arthritis she found wingnuts fiddly so I did an upgrade with buying some plastic thumb nuts from Amazon, she can now clean and assemble it no problem.Apart from that one gripe it is perfect for the job and the chips cook evenly and are so much better than hand cut . I gave it four stars as could not do 4 1/2 stars. Would have been five of no fiddly wingnuts

Game changer
This chipper is fantastic, wished i had bought one sooner. Chips potatoes in seconds. I would highly recomend changing the fiddly supplied wingnuts for ease of cleaning. I bought "M5 star shaped thumb nuts" from Amazon for less than a fiver, they fit perfectly and do not obstruct the chipper blades. Would be far better if they come supplied but still a 5* from me. I hope the photos and description help anyone purchasing, you wont be disappointed. 👍

Pretty Good
As other reviewers have stated: a good machine, well-built, functions as advertised, and can handle big potatoes.I have cut myself twice, and not on the blades. It's the perspex lid. Each potato requires you open and shut it. You need to open it to put the potato in, you need to shut it or else you can't get at the button/switch.The edges should be smooth, rounded. Instead they are as sharp as a knife. Anyone who has cut himself with a blade of grass will understand - it's called a blade for a reason.

worth its wait in gold!
Bought after housemate paid £10.50 for chips to be delivered - what a waste of money!Hated paying all this money for a chip cutter, but I'm finding it's paying for itself!Really like this product, cuts chips beautifully with no effort on my part. This is definitely a five star item as far as I'm concerned and I now just can't be without it!Cleaning might be a bit fiddly, but I've got away with just unscrewing the front blade so actually easy.

Good, but could have been better.
Pros:Works really well, initially trying it without cutting anything the power underwhelmed me but when I put a potato in it cut it with ease like butter.Very solid and doesn't make much noise.Cons:It's absolutely huge, measure before you buy.I keep it in storage as it's too big for our small kitchen.Weirdly awkward to change blades or clean the way it suggests, taking nuts and bolts out to remove the blade is real silly, it's like it was an afterthought to sell this as a commercial product. Could really improve this in an upgrade. However saying that I do think it's overkill to clean the way it says and at the moment after using I turn it vertical and let it soak in warm water then clean with the provided brush and rinse. I have also tried cleaning with a handheld steam cleaner which works well, but it's an extra thing to bring out and the water takes time to warm up so not sure which method ill use long term. Both are better than messing around talking the blades out though. This might be a bit much for someone who just wants to cut a few potatoes a week. I was thinking of sending it back and getting a cheap one until they upgrade it so it's easier to clean but I am using it more than I thought and use it for vegetables too. I can't imagine you would get one that performs better than this commercially, so it the pros outweigh the cons I'd recommend it.
